Mexican cuisine is to the pleasure of all visitors here. This restaurant guarantees you tasty calamari, salads and salsa & chips. The whole impression won't be complete without beer that is delicious here. Great coffee is what may make you return to Z South. Excellent food (I had three of their exquisite shrimp tacos), excellent service (everyone was quick to help us with our dining experience not just our designated waiter. On top of that, our waiter in particular had a very delightful and positive personality), and excellent atmosphere (both indoor and outdoor, seating is very tasteful and the vibes are incredible, the music especially is my favorite). On top of all that, the prices of everything is extremely affordable and reasonable! (Each shrimp taco was only 5$!!!) This is a 5 out of 5 establishment and I plan to come here again the next time I visit San Diego. (The complimentary chips and salsas, yes plural, are incredible too!) A friend suggested the spot, they really like the chips and salsa. My husband and I enjoyed ourselves. Our server was attentive but he didn't hover, which was great. I had the prickly pear margarita, it was yummy. My husband thought his steak was okay. We both enjoyed my cheese enchilada (a la carte) and my tacos. I got the short rib and el pastor. The ribs had some fatty meat and I really enjoyed that. We both liked the ceviche. And our family and friends enjoyed their food We would probably go again with a group of people, but not a date night. The food at Z South was delicious! Chile Rellenno may be the best I have ever had, beef enchilada was stuffed with delicious shredded beef and the red sauce was spicy and delicious. Chips were hot fresh and crispy served with three kinds of salsa. I highly recommend this restaurant!
