I’ve been to 85 Main at least five times. The first time they served me a ravioli butternut squash dish with a salsa verde that was so delicious I regularly dream about it. It was that amazing. Since then I’ve been seeking that same quality and haven’t found it. The oysters with quail egg and tobiko was a complete miss, tasting like a latrine. The Mac and cheese was ruined by mushy carrots. I was so disappointed. However our waiter Colin was exemplary. We never had to wait for water refills, he was prompt, professional and knowledgeable about the menu. His professionalism saved the night. All in all this place is very hit or miss. Some dishes shine and some fall flat. Food: 3 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

Freezing cold, raw garlic on Swiss chard, waitress saw I took four bites and I told her I wasn’t able to eat the sides because of the raw garlic and she handed me a $90 bill. I left hungry, it was Valentine’s Day. I used their contact us form online and haven’t heard back in a day. I won’t be going back and I don’t recommend you do either. Excellent food and service was great! I had the crab cakes and my husband had miso soup for an appetizer and sushi for his entree. Everything was delicious and perfect! Such a hidden gem in Putnam! We just absolutely love this restaurant. Outstanding, Fun, Delicious, Friendly and fast service, extensive menu options, A+ French fries w really good House ketchup (had two orders), sushi was scrumptious and fresh, mushroom ravioli was silky, creamy and divine. excellent Mexican salad. Huge wine selection. My whole party loved every bit about this place. It was a complete joy to eat here. I have not a single criticism. Absolutely go here when you are in the area. Great restaurant!!! My wife and her friends have been here several times. So, she finally took me there. Excellent menu, service and the food was perfect.
