Great experience and I love the new layout of the floor plan. The only thing I miss about coming to this location is the free pastries for $1 after 7:00. Seems to be no more. Clean store and the staff are friendly.
The person running the self checkout registers today (I think her name was Glenda or something similar) was so helpful and kind and absolutely made my day. It’s not everyday that you leave a store getting to interact with someone like that so I really appreciated it!
Rude customer service at the butcher. The previous location on William D Tate would always dice my meat for me. Always nice about it and never acted like it was a burden. I visited yesterday and asked if they could dice some meat for me. The guy looked confused and asked which meat, I said chicken thighs. The manager (or whatever) of the butcher was walking by, didn’t even acknowledge me or look at me and just says “No”.
It’s fine if the store can’t do that (although interesting when they advertise all the custom cuts they can do), and I wasn’t rude. I said ok, no worries, and walked away. But I definitely feel like I was blown off.
After waiting over 5 minutes for someone to show up at the deli, I asked for some fried catfish and was told the 4 pcs they had were cold. I wanted a 1lb but they didn't offer to make anymore like the other stores do.
Surly store workers and endless construction nonsense is ruining the store.
This construction project is getting ridiculous. They close one entrance to the store, but don’t post a sign. They close half the parking lot to install vinyl flooring planks on the building, but don’t post a sign, so people get stuck in a dead-end parking lane. They close the dairy case, and don’t post a sign, but their floor-to-ceiling black trash bag look sure is enticing. They move entire sections of the store, and leave it up to you and your own fading eyesight to read the new overhead signs.
But the most jarring change is how empty and dark the store feels now. There are almost no visible workers on duty, and the few you encounter are very openly unhappy in their jobs. They complain about their pay in front of customers. They leave stock carts out in the open. They walk around with the look of condemned prisoners rather than grocery clerks.
Albertsons gives you no good reason to shop here anymore, and ten good reasons to shop somewhere else.
This was my first time coming to Albertson’s in over a year, and I must say that this location is completely pleasing to the eye. Everything is organized and symmetrical and clean. I will definitely be coming back here again. I wish would have taken pictures to share lol. I appreciate organized grocery stores
This store had to have recently undergone new management.
It has gone severely downhill in the past few months. Whomever approved this “redesign”… how about we use some basic logic. You can’t read what’s in the aisles as the signs are no longer visible unless you’re walking from the front which doesn’t work when you have a middle aisle. And the middle aisle is no longer easily accessible because y’all decided to put a full length shelf at the end. Maybe the long term goal is to get rid of the middle aisle? Given how wide this store is, those aisles would be ridiculously long, and could cause feelings of increased anxiety and claustrophobia. Again, basic logic.
And then you have the staff. Over the years, I have always encountered employees who appear to enjoy being there. That is no longer the case. Everyone looks annoyed and frantic. Lord forbid you need assistance while using the self-checkout. You’re going to wait awhile for someone to show up. To be honest, if the store’s disorganization is any indication of the management style, I could only imagine what it’s like working there.
This used to be my favorite grocery store in the area; clean, happy and helpful staff, easy navigation throughout, thoughtful placement of products. With these changes, given the number of stores in the area, I cannot fathom why anyone would choose to come to this one.
I called on Thursday, August 31st at 12:46 to place an order for my granddaughters birthday. The person took the order asked me for all of my information gave me a price. I came in the store on Saturday, 9/2 to pick up the cake for it not to be ready. Reason 1. I may have had the wrong store. 2. They don’t take on the phone orders. 3. You called after 5 pm. Well, they found my order and old me that they (bakery) could not make it because they were busy and the theme I had originally asked for they don’t have. I was given an option for them to write happy birthday on a cake already made. I barely got a I’m sorry. It was not sincere. You have to do better. If someone doesn’t know what their doing then you need to be on one page. You caused a huge inconvenience for my granddaughter’s 3rd birthday. You also need to learn to be more professional.
