There's not much to the atmosphere, but once you're at the counter, who cares? It's one of the most beautiful donut counters you'll see...everything looks good and tastes even better. Strongly recommend the maple bacon long john (ask for bavarian creme filling), cronuts (the round ones are better) and the cinnamon rolls. But you can't go wrong with anything you pick here. I randomly stumbled into this very yummy donut shop a few months back, I’ve been here countless times. These donuts changed my life, and the lady who is always at the counter is always super nice. Went there for the 1st time after being told to go for months. I should have went a long time ago; the donuts are amazing so fresh and tasty! I will have to go back again!!!

I went to Ambrosia and picked up two dozen donuts to celebrate my daughter's birthday after her soccer tournament and I couldn't have been happier with Ambrosia Donuts. They were polite and quick to fill my order, and I had so many compliments and enquiries as to where they came from. Everyone said they were perfect donuts - tasty and cooked perfectly. We were from out of town, but if I'm in Ankeny again, we'll for sure stop by Ambrosia.
