This is one of the best genuine or the best in the area for real Italian food. I’m from the east coast from the NYC/ NJ area. This restaurant has the same taste and flavors of a NYC Italian restaurant. I live in Novi and I take the drive here to get hands down a great tasting Italtian dish. We go often on Monday nights. I enjoy the meat ravioli with meat sauce. This past Monday everything was on point. Bread hot and garlicky. Plenty of people in the building. Service for a nice change was prompt and friendly. I do admit that service is normally slow. But not this past Monday. Food hot ! Sauce zesty. Surely pleased ! Ravioli here is why we come. And will continue to come. Always fresh. Cooked right and sauce either blush or meat is always good ! Cant go wrong ! We’ve gotten take out a few times and it’s been decent. We decided to dine in tonight since Deluca’s was closed. Our service was honestly not that good and the food was mid. Server came around once and forgot our refills and still charged for a second. Hate leaving poor reviews but it’s just frustrating when you look forward to going out to have a nice experience and it ends up being kind of bad. Not only that, the restaurant was not really even that busy, and they had plenty of servers working in each section.

This place used to be better. The ribs were okay at best, potato wasn't so great, bread basket kinda dry. First timer at this establishment yesterday. We have been wanting to try their food for over a year and decided before our outing downtown to stop here and enjoy dinner...or so we thought. We got here at 5:30. Walked in and there is a sign stating to ring the bell for service. I rang the bell, made eye contact with multiple servers numerous times and no one acknowledged us. I work customer service and even though I may not be able to assist in the moment I still acknowledge the clients, no one did that for about 5 minutes. Then we had 3 people ask us if we have been helped within 15 seconds. Once seated we were able to place our appetizer order: fried mushrooms, calamari and ravioli. The fried ravioli was pretty good, calamari was decent and the mushrooms were extremely oily/watery. After experiencing subpar appetizers we decided to go light on the entrees and split an order of shrimp alfredo and the NY strip. I requested extra sauce in the Alfredo and the steak to be medium rare. Unsure if I actually received extra sauce and the steak was completely well done. The pasta and shrimp had ZERO flavor. The steak was extremely buttery. The French onion soup and green beans that came with the meals also were extremely flavorless. I doubt we will be returning.
