The current staff is a big upgrade over the last time I rated this establishment. Very quick service, friendly service, great food that came out extremely fast. Highly recommend the chips and salsa. Good selection for my vegan girlfriend and still plenty of options for this meat eater. My only knock was it was overly loud, not because of the crowd but because of the overhyped music. Chill out on the music and let people talk to each other and I'd upgrade my rating to a 5 star. Tacos and bowl from the brunch menu were decent. Prices seemed fair as the tacos were well stuffed and heavy. The steak in the cowboy taco was tasty but really chewy. Service was good. The club music was annoying to me but it’s a campus place and yup gotta keep the college brohanz and brohanettes happy. I hate that the utensils are plastic sporks for the price and setting. Same with the paper bowl for my tots breakfast bowl. That is just no bueno. However, come for the food and you’ll be fairly happy. Very mediocre tacos and a limited menu of house tacos (so be prepared to guide your own off of the SAT bubble menu). Mostly I was uninspired by the shells, the flour tortilla shelf tasted like any old shell I could buy from a grocery store. Atmosphere was good, though outdoor seating fills up fast (even on a Tuesday). Margaritas are alright, above average. Good food but not close to an authentic taste of tacos. Make your own taco by picking items in a piece of paper first for about $4 and it’s a good idea, but I don’t like how they charge extra if you add more than one protein because I feel like beans and a kind of meat is essential to a taco… They have premade taco combos as well which is helpful. Super eclectic taco spot with uniquely crafted tacos, or the ingredient list allowing you to build your own. The most difficult part of eating here is trying to narrow down what you want to eat! There’s a ton of indoor and outdoor seating, and yet there’s frequently still a wait (although manageable). The drinks and food were truly impressive and worth the visit. We had a great time at Barrio. Fun take on tacos. They have build your own or their stable pre designed choices. Excellent quality ingredients with decent portions. The chips and salsa are great! Decent selection of draft beer. The real star is "the sassy pineapple" margarita. Phenomenal, truly. The standard one is great we also tried it with strawberry that was outstanding as well. I would recommend and would love to come back.
