Probably the best place to have iskembe soup in Ankara. Highly recommend you add vinegar, chili flakes and garlic. Becomes so good with that combo. We also tried salad with brain. Honestly not bad, it had the texture of cream cheese. Didn't take a picture of it but mumbar was good too, give it a try. The only thing I didn't really like was the restaurant interior. The roof was a little too low for my liking, felt claustrophobic. Also the design was old, needs a renovation. This place serves some traditional meals, and specialized in offal and soups. Tripe soup was good. Lamb head was the best I have ever eaten. Atmosphere was OK. The low volume Turkish songs was a brilliant addition. Waiters were attentive, however, there were some problems with the service. Such as: Bringing the main meal together with the soup. Even though I specifically requested not to put brains in my plate of sheep head, doing exactly the opposite. Prices are fair, when the taste and quality considered. Love it. Whenever we r bck in Ankara we go there to have tribe soup. Stayed same for many years. Good, hardy, soul food w/ decent service. But prices r no longer decent unfortunately they went way up too just as everything else. So far so good, not much changed.
