Well, what I can say... The service was not good, because we were waiting for the menu when there was not a lot of people. Compare to the others bars and pubs I would not recommend to go to that place, unfortunately ((( Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

The food was very bad and the fries were so oily and old ( seems to be fried few times) I asked for fresh ones and yet it was terrible. I don’t recommend the burger ( unless if you would like to experience a big plastic meet burger covered with loads of salty toppings) .. good luck ! Food: 1 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 3

I think I was here for the second time. The reservation we did was ok and we had a lovely table. The menu is full of choices. I choose the ‘spies’ and that was OK. My wife had the duck and she loved it. Someone from our little group had the spareribs and that was a good choice too. A lot of meat! All main courses came with fries and salad and plentiful so that’s great. The service was OK and friendly. The restaurant interior is like a brown café and there is a place with open fire. Overall the atmosphere is good, the food is good but a little (not extremely) pricey imo. They don’t have an English menu (tip) but with google translate you can find your way. Bistro 't Kannetje serves good meals. The hamburgers are a bit greasy yet tasty. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Not too expensive. And nothing can beat the surroundings being at the center of the old town of Amersfoort. Please like this review if found useful. Thank you. Half of the stuff we ordered wasn't available so we ordered the nachos and when they got served they forgot the jalapeños. But they didn't forget they were out of jalapeños but just didn't mention it. We each got one drink on the house, that was nice. Food was nice but the service was abysmal. Completely rude and utterly slow. We asked if we can have a little water for the dog and the answer was "Nooooo" and the waiter left the table immediately. Good food, great service, and lovely place to grab lunch or a nice dinner. I had dinner with my brother and his wife here 2 times, we had perfectly cooked steakes and ice cold beers in the sun. Reasonably priced food and happy smiles by the staff!:))

Great place to spend your evening. A lot of different beers are available. The special taste is the sour beer which reboot your taste cells and is a great experience to make.
