Absolutely one of the nest places for a great burrito and that avocado salsa is waaaaaay better than traditional quac will definitely be back...back again for another great experience enjoyed the screw city tacos everything was fresh and wonderful these tacos hit hard
Food and service are amazing. I've been served by Hunter a few times and he's always on top of his game, knows many patrons by name and order, and very congenial. Big kudos to him 👏

Screw City Taco
We had take out and decided on the beef birria tacos and chicken screw city tacos and let me just say lord Jesus. The food is absolutely amazing. Would recommend and cannot wait to try something new.

We ordered take out. The inside seemed nice enough, but a little small if you are considering a nice outing. Still nice and quaint though. The food was delicious and chalk fill of flavor. The young lady at the front counter was sweet and pleasant. I will definitely eat here again when in town. I would eat there for lunch, but probably just take out for dinner.

We really liked the nachos (you can pick two meats for the build your own) and the avocado salsa. I do recommend getting extra chips for the nachos because there are so many of the great toppings.
Service was great. Seating was the only minor complaint because there are only two low tables for 4. I'm sure this is in part because it looks like they do a brisk take out business.

Staff is extremely incompetent, management is nonexistent. I have tried to give them my money twice now via online ordering, and their pos is down constantly. I had tried to call and let them know of the issue, and was told “ it has been down for a few days, and they need to let the manager know next time they see them.” Like what? Wouldn’t you think of making an effort to fix the issue promptly so you’re not missing online orders?
I’d avoid this place at all costs, save yourself some time, and aggravations.

Where to begin!
My fiancé and I just moved to Rockford a couple of months ago and we have been hearing about cantina taco all over! Today was the day that we decided to try it out.
Walking in, it's a fun little chill spot. The music choice was great and loud enough to enjoy but not too loud where you can't have conversation.
Then we got met by Hunter. I have worked in the food industry for many years and I have also worked in retail for many years and he checked both boxes! He was friendly, curious and passionate about the company. I was already excited to try this place, but he tipped my excitement over the edge. He was helpful with some tips and suggestions and made our first time looking at the menu far less stressful than I have experienced haha.
Lastly, we got out food... it looked amazing, tasted delicious and made me already stoked about the next time we would come back! I got the nachos; highly recommend!
This place is definitely on one of Rockford's best and I will tell everyone about it. Check it out, and if Hunter is working the front counter, you'll be treated like family!!
