Restaurant with reasonable prices for sea food. Everything was delicious and the portions were huge. The only bad thing is that staff was confused and couldn't do anything without the lady boss. O pior de sempre. 65 minutos de espera para 1 massa bolonhesa (tipo sopa de caril e com direito a uma indisposição até de madrugada), 1 hambúrguer de frango (mumificado de seco), 1 pisa havaiana (aceitável), 1 tagliatelle (bom), já quanto ao hambúrguer de queijo foi bem mais complicado, após reclamar ainda esperamos mais 17 minutos. No final decidiram não cobrar o hambúrguer, acharam que seria correto, pois a minha filha de 7 anos esperou 82 minutos por ele. Não fosse a partilha da pizza..... Depois de 1h e 30 min de espera, por massa à bolonhesa, que estava intragável, 2 hambúrgueres de queijo e uma pizza. Conseguiram esquecer-se de 1 hambúrguer. Quando chamamos a atenção do funcionário ele vira as costas e diz que temos de ir "lá dentro" reclamar. Um verdadeiro fiasco, não recomendo de maneira nenhuma. 1h e 30min de espera com crianças à mesa e sem um pedido de desculpas. We were tired and hungry (so not searching for reviews as we were told this old fishing area is great wherever you sit) and get invited from the guy on the street into this restaurant. Food was avarage to low, as a service. We get some baked potato with baked cabbage as a gift for waiting too long and that was, I would say, the best we ate there. We have ordered octopus salad which was not tasty and hard to eat, mixed sea food platter where they put a lot of tartar sauce in the middle (as we are in McDonald’s) and red local wine which was pretty good enough to crash your head and forget the experience of visiting this place in general. The dishes we ordered were very tasty, especially potatoes with cabbage and fish as well. The waiters were very polite and friendly. Prices were reasonable. It’s worth mentioning that the portions were big in relation to the price. It was the Sunday market and we were wandering, looking for somewhere to have a drink. . This place had just changed from drinks to lunch only, which annoyed a few people, who sat down only to leave again when told they had to order food. We decided to go for food. Menu prices were reasonable, so we ordered spaghetti marinara. We received a free piece of bread with a tomato salad, whilst waiting. The spaghetti arrived very quickly and looked good, with a generous supply of seafood. Unfortunately, both the spaghetti and some of the seafood, particularly the octopus, was quite chewy. The spaghetti could have been doing with another couple of minutes cooking, whereas the seafood probably had too much. The food was fresh, we saw a member of staff bringing fish across directly from the market, but simply didn't have enough attention paid to it. Service was the same, it was busy, but limited in its approach. We had to go to the bar to order more drinks, as we were unable to attract attention. Prices were reasonable, given how busy the market was, and the prime location. 9.95 euros for the spaghetti. Very nice place with low prices and yummy food. We have ordered fresh squids and fish and chips - the dishes was surprisedly big and quite nice. The most terrible and unfortunate culinary experience ever lived. One of the most miserable restaurants I've met in my life. We wanted to get up and leave several times, but it was one of the only restaurants open that day in Marsaxlokk. The restaurant was full of flies, the toilets looked terrible and had a strong smell, the bar was full of misery, the tables were covered with a sticky white cloth of material and many of the tables where other customers had already been were not cleared. The food could only be partially consumed. They offer from the house some bruschetta with tomatoes which unfortunately were old and have been made a long time ago, the fish soup came cold and with a strange taste, the seafood came totally unclean and in an advanced stage of spoilage, you could feel the sand everywhere, the prawns were unclean, the clams were full of impurities, the fish had no taste, it looked like it had been cooked and reheated too many times, the salad had rotten tomatoes, it looked like it was made a few days before. Most of the dishes gave the impression that they were not fresh at all. The only ones that could be eaten were grilled octopus, fresh grouper and potatoes. Although we chose with an indigestion of all the beauty. The staff of the restaurant are very rude and not so nice with clients and especially the salon manager (Rebeca) and the owner of the restaurant. Would be a lot more to say about this place, but I'll stop here. The only positive thing from this experience was the view. To be avoided this place, I do not recommend.
