My bride and I were in town for the night and found ourselves here after a lot of deliberation. Wow did we make the right choice. First, I love the parking lot. I hate parking my vehicle in a nasty tight unkempt lot. This was flat and maintained. To the important stuff OMG, the chillian sea bass was cooked to perfection. We split this and the ribs. Ribs were really good, too. But seriously, the sea bass was crazy good. We have to mention our server. She was fantastic. Was attentive, personable, and just great. Food uncooked. Shrimp batter not fried, mushy. Chicken fried steak was undercooked and mushy. Onion rings raw inside. Salad was very good, service was good. This is not the usual and it seems the cook was off? It was also mentioned they only had one chicken fried steak? We arrived at 4:30. Shout out to the staff at the Chalet! On a recent snowy night when most places closed early, Owner Shawn and his team made our first visit a warm and memorable evening. This was our 2nd time here at the Chalet, wife and I enjoyed the casual atmosphere. We felt transported somewhere on the upper East Coast, the nautical decor was a nice surprise on the mountain. My wife had the scallops and pasta, the scallops were juicy and cooked perfectly, the pasta and sauce were delicious. I had the blackened Catfish, the fish was moist and not over seasoned. The next time my wife had the Filet and it was tender and delicious, I choose the try the sushi, was bit disappointed. Definitely a place to go back to for Date Night! Came in for the fish fry and wow! Excellent tempura-type beer batter cooked to perfection! Also ordered a cheeseburger that had the best flavor-beef at it's finest. The cheddar was robust and the garnishes fresh. All the help had smiles that went along with the excellent service. A daily early-bird special will have me coming back to try the rest of the menu-Cheers!
