This is the first time I’ve ever eaten at checkers… 10’s across the board. The service was quick and friendly, the food is excellent, and the location is convenient for any hungry thrifter. My friend and I visited on 11th of December and both got sick from the food. He threw up multiple times and I have had non stop painful indigestion. I've been to Checkers before and never had this issue. Neither has my friend. We both got frys and chicken strips. I think the fryer oil needs to be changed because the food was cooked to perfection. I haven't been to Checkers in a long time. The previous order taker was glad to take your order & at pick-up I was greeted with a smile. Today's staff was courteous. I always LOVED the hot out of the fryer highly seasoned fries above everything else. Today the warm fries weren't even seasoned. 🙁 This was my 1st (& last) order of chicken bites; they were too small & crunchy. If I wasn't told it was chicken ... to me it was just crunch. I have always gone to this Checkers and service was always mid. Tonight, I was taken aback when someone politely and quickly addressed me at the drive-thru window. I was even MORE shocked that although there were 2 cars in front of me, in less than 5 mins my meal was in my hands. Before, I would wait at LEAST 10 mins before even getting to pay for my food. Idk if it’s new management or new hires but whatever Checkers crew was working around 8pm on 10/23 deserve a raise!! Unfortunately, I have to give them a poor rating. My husband asked 3 or more times for no mayo or sauce to be on his 2 sandwiches. He even said please. The clerk repeated his order back correctly, but yet both sandwiches contained Mayo, plus he was the only person in line. He was disappointed, got a refund, then went to Chick-Fil-A down the street. This is probably not somewhere I'd chose again. I got the chili dog and baconzilla, he got the fish sandwich. The chili dog has meat and mustard.. not chili and cheese like I would assume. It tasted like old burger meat on the bun. The burger was pretty good, just messy, overloaded with mayo and ketchup. The fish.. had a cardboard taste. Dry and plain, he didn't finish it and I didn't want it. The fries were also plain. I don't think they salt them.
