Very nice place for food and drinks, waiter was somewhat slow, due to understaffing,tending to very large birthday party. Otherwise on other days, pretty good service and drinks. We had our daughter's 1st birthday party at Cinders wood fire grill yesterday :). We had the best experience, the staff's were very friendly, we got the entire patio for the party. it is very spacious, staff's made sure it is warmer because of the cold weather outside. John the owner is open to anything we ask, we did balloon decorations, photography from a third party. The family dinner package is very good. If you are looking for a birthday party I highly recommend this place in this area. Thank you John and the staff, you made our daughter's first birthday memorable one. This place seems to get good reviews, so maybe it was just an off night, but it was a comedy of errors throughout the entire meal. My wife and I went for a Valentines dinner. The general ambiance was nice. We ordered sangria, antipasto appetizer and the tomahawk steak for 2. After waiting for our drinks for about 20 minutes and seeing many other tables getting served bar drinks prior to us, I was finally able to get the waitresses attention and inquire about where our drinks were. She stated she put them in and didn't know what happened, at which point I watched her go over to the POS and ring them in. If you forget something, own it, don't lie and blame someone else. The sangria itself was a little disappointing, tasting more like a pomegranate fruit punch than a sangria. The antipasto was honestly just OK, which would have been fine and no need for comment, but both my wife and I came across several olives that were clearly spoiled. The tomahawk steak, which was the reason we chose this restaurant in the first place, was a huge let down. It was ordered medium rare and came out darn near purple. Normally I would have just sent it back for it to be cooked a little more, but since they slice it up before bringing it to the table meant that either the slices were going to come back well, or we were going to wait another 30 mins for another steak to be cooked. Temperature aside, it still just did not live up to expectation. We really wanted to like this place. It's close to home has a nice ambiance and the menu seems varied for any palate, but after the series of disappointments it would be hard to go back, much less recommend it to others. Amazing service for dinner service, and we enjoyed every second of being there! It was a very welcoming atmosphere, and we look forward to many more visits to Cinders after our first visit. Cinders is such a gem of a restaurant. They have such a wide menu, fairly priced, and the food is really great. This is even crazier because all of the "mid level" restaurants like Applebee's or Fridays charge an arm and a leg for food 1/2 this good and at half the portion size. This place is a must try. Order a Martini Christmas eve, they were out of Martini glasses. they had the nerve to serve it a large Shot glass. Order the Short Ribs and received ONE Short rib (not Ribs like the menu says) that was fatty and 5 cut potatoes. Definitely not wort the $30.95 it cost.
