When you are in Valletta there are so good restaurants to eat but Cockney is not on the list. The seafood has no taste. Maybe the dishes are big but the food is not fresh. If you are sitting outside side they serve the food on the table.. no tablecloth. The prices are very high for that they serve. We went on a Sunday evening, and the setting is wonderful with tables overlooking the water. The staff are really friendly, and service is prompt without rushing you. The staff know about the menu and are happy to help with any advice. They also have a great specials menu The portions are quite large, bear this in mind if ordering more than one course or if you're not a big eater. The food is simpmy amazing! Every dish we ordered was fresh and cooked to perfection. Price for the food is very reasonable for what you get. Would definitely eat here again. The team was really nice, squeezing our party of two during a busy evening. The food was amazing and the portions were huge. Octopus carpaccio was great and the fried calamari were super fresh and delicious. We also had the seafood pasta and soft shell risotto which were both great and with a lot of high quality sea food. This was my first meal in Malta after a long day of swimming in the ocean. I ordered the seafood pasta and my companion ordered the calamari and sweet potato fries. To drink we had virgin mojitos which were very good. The pasta vas well cooked and tasted good. The calamari where nice as well. For anyone who is as big of a fan of sweet potato fries as I am, I can only recommend them. Sadly, as you can see, the plates are huge. The pasta I could have easily shared. I would have appreciated the waiter to tell me or warn me about us ordering too much. The service was polite. They did not present us the wine card or the catch of the day. Maybe this was due to our young appearance, because the table next to us did get the full introduction. Other than that the location is pretty and the view over the bay is very romantic.
