5 Stars all the way!! Very polite yet professional courteous and informative. The food is absolutely wonderful. Very very good. From the CFS to the Philly cheese steak sandwich, top notch. Prices are very affordable for everyone. The amount of food you get is quite a bit. I recommend and approve this establishment!! Keep up the great work!

Came here because it was so highly reviewed and I was not disappointed. It definitely lived up to the hype and I had a fantastic experience. The food was phenomenal and it genuinely felt like I was getting food at my grandparent’s home. If you’re passing through then eat here!

Sure, the place could have booths and a bit more ambiance but really I was pleasantly surprised by the good service and the excellent food provided at cow Palace. If you haven't been then you must go. Very good eating!

Stopped here for lunch on a road trip. This is a good local, nonchain spot. Friendly, fast, and affordable place to have a good home cooked meal. We liked that you get a trip to the salad bar with your meal. Salad bar had the dark green lettuce with many topping and dressing choices. The chicken fried chicken and chicken fried steak were very good with generous portions. We will definitely come back on our next road trip through Gonzales.

Got the steak asked for rare was able to sit and have my salad and then the steak was out few minutes later. Hands down one hell of a good steak and even better services. Another one of those hidden gems.

Great service, and Great Food! I highly recommend the Texas sized chicken fried steak! I like that the salad bar comes with the dinners and you make your own plate! My baked potato was delicious even without the butter!
Our waitress was awesome & even gave us a Carrot Cake! ❤️

Cow Palace was exactly what you would expect from down home cooking. Good, fresh and fast! They were fast to get our order (which was correct the first time), bring drinks (fresh yummy sweet tea), and as I sat there looking at the horses in the field across the street they made very good food. Friendly wait staff! Seems to be a local hang out for the people to go grab a quick bite and catch up too. The food was so good, I forgot to get a picture! The plates were fresh, eggs, bacon, toast. Bacon was that good thick 🥓 that you want more of. I will be heading back there again soon!

Great home-style cooking if you’re driving through Gonzales and looking for somewhere to grab a bite. It is not fancy by any means but they serve up some delicious food. The restaurant is full of regulars so if you’re from out of town you may get a few stares across the room but the food and service are amazing. My burger was expertly prepared and so tasty. The kids loved the Mac n cheese. Overall, a solid restaurant for a great meal and delicious comfort food.
