Our favorite place in Elyria!!! What a great find and hidden gem. Top quality ice cream made with top quality ingredients. There is an update every Wednesday with flavors available that weekend. You can place your order on line or go order in person on Saturdays. Order pick time is Saturday 11:00-3:00. The location is an old Lawson's store, when you pull in parking lot there is a whiteboard outside listing flavors. The owners will come out and take your order (or name if you pre-ordered) and bring your order to your car. You never get out of your car! The best thing about Cowhaus Creamery are the owners, Joe and Deb. Always a smile and grateful for the business. They are very passionate about their product, knowledgeable and creative. This is a perfect example of customer service that has been missing in the world for a long time.

Easily the best I’ve cream I’ve ever had, just stocked up the freezer for the first time since moving back to Ohio. Every flavor is spot on, the texture is delightfully creamy, and I can’t wait to keep trying different flavors each week! No matter where you’re coming from, Cowhaus is worth the drive.

DEEEEElicious ice cream!  Have to admit, when I initially read the reviews (some said they drive for hours to get ice cream here on Saturdays), I was thinking it can't be THAT good.  I mean, it can't be better than the New Braunfels Dairy, back in the day...  but I'm open-minded, and I gave it a try.  So my name is Vera, and I am now one of those people - CowHaus definitely IS that good!!!  Anything with vanilla tastes amazing!  The Vanilla. Fleur de Sel. is like the most delicate, fluffiest, tastiest little chilled cloud.  The dark chocolate is also incredible, except of course it's a cool fluffy little tasty chocolate cloud.  Everything I've tried so far has been completely delicious - including the cantaloupe basil sorbet, which is the most amazingly surprising delicious flavor.  I've no intention of stopping anytime soon, will be trying the new flavors as they are made available (if I can).  Everyone needs a hobby! 😋 p.s. Almost forgot to mention the delicious peanut brittle, also used in the tasty Buckshot Malt ice cream. 😍 When in Elyria, look for the Lick Local custom neon. 😎
such amazing ice cream and such unique flavors. Just had a scoop of maple wet walnut and it's AMAZING! I have yet to have anything that wasn't phenomenal

The best ice cream in the county, POSSIBLY the world. I'm not sure, who am I kidding, I am. You're doing yourself a huge disservice by not trying this spots unique flavors and takes on a classic treat. If you don't come out in the fall to try their corn flavored ice cream, or in the spring for their blackberry lime cilantro sorbet, or in the morning for the vanilla whiskey that marries your coffee WITH NO PRENUP, your pallet is not yet ready to be blown away by the genius these cream connoisseurs concoct.

This Place I randomly decided to go into and see what it was when I walked in i was happily greeted by some nice employees who had explained to me what type of ice cream they make, there is no artificial coloring or flavoring in their ice cream and I got to watch them make it this place is one of the best ice cream shops I've ever been to!
