This was our first time at Davie Tavern. We had excellent service and the staff was very friendly and helpful with their suggestions on entrees and drinks. We will definitely be back. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

The service and desert were excellent! I will be honest, I was expecting more on our first visit, as far as the food was concerned. Was an okay meal, but nothing crazy. The desert was really good, though! They had an amazing selection. The cocktail of the day was really good as well. I think we will give it another chance in the future. Stopped by for lunch before an appointment in Winston Salem. Our food was great and the service was also very good. We started with Spinach Artichoke Dip and it was amazing. For entrees, we had a Goat Cheese and Pear Salad along with a daily special of Sundried Tomato, Lemon Caper Grouper. Both entrees were delicious and the prices were good. Would definitely recommend! I dined alone on a busy Saturday night. I got there right before 7pm. I did have to wait about 5-10 minutes. I waited outside and the waiter found me when it was time. I never ran out of drink. My food was hot and delicious. I had an appetizer, fried zucchini sticks, and the Kitchen Sink Chef Salad for entree. They have the best Sweet Moscato wine, had 2 glasses. All together my bill came to $33 before tip. Edit: apparently this isn't a great place to work. If certain staff (family of owners) don't like you, they will create drama and fire you while your kid is in the hospital for kidney failure. I haven't been back to eat there in a year so I can't speak on their food and service now. Just adding that tidbit in there.... This was my second visit here and was just as good as the first. I had the 8oz filet mignon rare and it was outstanding. Lisa was our waitress and she was very attentive. Headed home and needed a place to eat. Randomly chose this place and when I say friendly I mean authentic chill and the decor was pleasant and clean. I ordered the 14 ounce ribeye with mashed potatoes and brussel sprouts. The ribeye itself was massive and the potatoes were perfectly mashed. Brussel sprouts were fresh and evenly roasted. Delicious. Our server was awesome! The drinks were amazing and priced well. The artichoke dip was extremely good. However the entrees...the steak and vegetables seamed very bland. The brown sugar salmon was a bit over cooked and could have used a glaze, and again the vegetables very bland. If we come back by that area I would definitely stop in for appetizers and drinks! With a small area inside and outside patio they offer great food with a unique menu of delicious things to try. Service was very tentative and nice. This place is peaceful. A Very nice restaurant. The people were very friendly and very good at their job. The food was Delicious and cooked Right the way I ordered. What was nice was we were visiting our daughter and went out for dinner. Once we finished our meal we talked a bit and didn't feel like we were being hurried to leave.
