Unnecessarily expensive for the amount and taste of food. Cute on the outside, but the inside is decorated with animal antlers, which unnerved me as a vegetarian. Food and service was excellent. Only complaint would be the chairs. They have arms rests of hard wood, so they are NOT comfortable for larger people. Parking also very limited. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person €30–40 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 3

Nice place to stop just outside Eindhoven. The location is quite carachteristic and the bulding were restaurated to preserve the aspect and functionality of the old mill. The mill is represented in a painting of Vincent van Gogh who lived in Nuenen from 1883 to 1885. During his wanderings around Nuenen, Van Gogh regularly passed the Opwetten water mill. There is a big difference between lunch and dinner on the menu. The lunch is more simple (that is a pity for an Italian) and we are willing to check also the dinner quality. At the moment the high rate is just for the location, the lunch was below our expectations. The burger too fatty while the sandwich was somehow ok but nothing memorable. the people working there are friendly but not very organized for a random visitor (our personal impression). Price per person €10–20

The staff were borderline friendly and takes really long to come to you. It can be hard to get their attention. Only 1 guy was very friendly. Came early hoping to explore the grounds but realised that it's mostly private property. It was a nice environment nonetheless. If only the staff can be more attentive. Ordered the duck fillet. It was average. The risotto was very good. Virgin Mojito was too sweet with only 2 mint leaves. I think they depend on the syrup to create the flavor - not fantastic. The free appetiser was yummy. Great placed, very relaxing. The food is excellent and the service is great ! The restaurant is also dog friendly. I had 3 appetizers and they were all very good. I will definitely come back.

Very cosy restaurant located in the nature, with a fruit garden and also games for kids. Perfect to enjoy a sunny day outside the city! Easy to reach by bike. The food is good, simple dishes but with fresh ingredients. Especially the bread is amazing, made of the flour coming from the mill (I advice to visit it if open). They also brew their own beer, very interesting and worth to try!
