The feature of this restaurant is serving nicely cooked rib sandwiches, cheeseburgers and spinach salads. Try good pancakes, biscuits and flija. Ordering the delicious beer is a nice idea. This is an amazing and needed Gem in Torrington. Definitely worth the drive. The has a limited menu but hits all the favorites but also has new menu ideas like protein bowls. The soup and salad bar is a art deeply missed since Covid. My only comment would Dorothy Lynch is a WY/NE stable on a salad bar. The potatoes were under seasoned and they mixed up parts of the order between plates. I got part of my order and part of the order of the other person at the table on my plate. Ordered a Reuben. The corned beef was tough as leather and the sauerkraut was way watered down. Food was served hot. The waitress finally came back to our table about 10 minutes after walking over to the serving area and asking for more tea. The locals seemed to be very pleasant. The restaurant is filthy. The wall next to us looked as if someone spat a loogie on it. There was a fan on top of the wall beside our table that looked like if it was bumped, you’d be covered in grimy dust. Dead bugs in the halfway-working fluorescent lights. See pics. Writing this post, we’re still waiting on our check. Food: 3 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 4

We came to this restaurant a few years back and the food and service were great, so naturally we were excited to try it again on our next trip. We got there at 9:40am at 11:00am we walked out!!!! Only saw the waitress to be sat and when she brought ketchup to our table and said they are plating your food then went to a table by us a talked and talked talked for almost 20mins (was still talking to them when we left). If my food was being plated it would have been cold by the time she grabbed it and brought it to us!!!!!! We left $5 on the table for my orange juice and his coffee. Won’t be going back again!!!!! My friend had eaten here before and really liked it. We arrived around 2 for a late lunch. There was only one other table of two when we arrived. The restaurant is clean and nicely decorated. Our server was the incredibly sweet Alana. Thank goodness for her kindness and sincere demeanor as she had to deliver the unfortunate messages that the kitchen was out of the items we ordered not once - not twice- but three times! The fourth unfortunate outsge message was delivered by the manager herself, and thankfully, she was very nice and comped our meal and explained completely about what the issue was. The visit is so unreal, we knew it took both of them great courage to keep coming back to our table to deliver the unfortunate news over and over again. I ordered the protein bowl and was shocked that everything in it was ice cold... not cold like they left it too long before delivering, but ice cold: corn. Rice. Black beans. Steak. (?) I decided to bring it home to heat up and it was so yummy! The salad bar is one of the very best I've ever experienced! The kitchen clearly needs help with prep, training and communication with the wait staff. All in all, I think it was just a very rough day for those who have to take care of the front of house and do the hard part of covering for the problems of the kitchen. Alana is a true blessing to this establishment. She has excellent customer service skills, and frankly, it was only because of her genuine positive attitude that we stayed as long as we did. The female manager was lovely and also helped save the day. We will try again in the future because of these two stellar ladies! We had dinner here with 15 people yesterday. Reservation was very uncomplicated and we even got the reserved table earlier as planned. The waitress was very nice and obliging. Everybody was happy with the ordered food. I had the salmon salad with flame broiled salmon filet and salad, cheese and onion rings. Delicious! 👌😍 My only suggestion would be: more variety of vegetarian meals. Thanks for having a nice dinner. 👍😊 Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $10–20

First time here. Friendly hometown atmosphere. Food was delicious, a wide variety of food on the menu at reasonable prices. Can't go wrong here.

Stunning menu. Not your typical small town fare; steak salad, salmon, cordon blue, steaks, .... Beer & wine (coming back soon). Passing through again yesterday, had the shrimp scampi. Shrimp & noodles cooked to perfection (most restaurants overcook both noodles -soggy & shrimp -rubbery), not here, done perfectly!
