My wife & I visited Delauder's BBQ for dinner when visiting the area. The inside is fairly small with only a few tables, so it was about 15 minutes before a table opened up for us to sit. The atmosphere was casual and the restaurant was fairly clean, but very cluttered. Some of that is obviously for ambience, but some was just...clutter. She ordered the pulled pork sandwich with fries and I choose the ribs with fries and the fried mac & cheese. My wife (who is not a big BBQ fan) said her sandwich and fries were very good. The pork had good flavor and the fries were perfect. I had to eat my ribs with a fork because they were falling off the bone. Great taste! The fried mac & cheese was excellent with a bit of spice heat. The staff was friendly and the manager? owner? made rounds to each table to check on everyone. If/when we are back in the area, we are going to call in a takeout order for their good BBQ! My husband and I was looking for good barbecue place. Do we stop by here. We was a little skeptical we ordered the platter. They was very nice. We waited for a good 20 minutes but it was worth the wait! The brisket and pull pork was GREAT best barbecue we ever had! The Mac and cheese was good and the collard greens, baked beans all of it was good. I wish we lived close. We would go often. My wife and I decided to take out and split the pulled pork platter. It easily offers enough smoked, no-sauce-added barbecue for two. The sides were about right for one. We ordered late and got green beans that were quite salty. The bun is plain and small. The owner and staff are very cordial. Payment is cash only. Free parking. If you want to dine in downtown Gatlinburg, you'd likely either have to ride the free shuttle before 6 PM or pay $20 to park. That alone makes Delauder's a place to consider. Really cool place to go for some awesome food! Some of the best BBQ we’ve ever had. Great family run restaurant. Service was excellent and everyone was so friendly. We will definitely be going back every time we’re in Gatlinsburg. Delicious BBQ and fantastic staff. If you like BBQ then you have to check out Delauder’s. Not only is the food good but the staff treats you like family. We had the Sampler Plater and the loaded baked potato. Highly recommend the brisket, ribs and pulled pork. They also had some of the best fried Okra I’ve ever had.
