I recently visited Dianna's Bakery and purchased two slices of cake, anticipating a delightful treat. However, upon reaching home, I was disappointed to find a significant size difference between the slices. While one was a generous portion, the other, an end piece, was noticeably smaller.
Paying the full price for both slices, I expected a consistent experience. The cake's quality was excellent, but the discrepancy left me feeling shortchanged. As a customer valuing fairness, I believe Dianna's Bakery should ensure equal value for all purchases.
I hope this feedback helps Dianna's Bakery address the issue for a more consistent and enjoyable customer experience. Despite this hiccup, I look forward to Dianna's Bakery maintaining its reputation for delicious treats and fair customer service.
I just ordered from Uber eats and while I appreciated the buy one get one free offer for some of the items, the food was not good. I don't usually write reviews unless they are a compliment. I got the large chi tea latte with oat milk, there is a hint of spice from cinnamon but it is so watered down tasting I cannot even drink it. I ordered the italian sandwich, it has a lot of meat in it but the bread was dry and soggy in one area and falling apart everywhere else. We tried the lemon pasta and it was super dry with hardly any lemon or garlic taste. The pastries we got were crumbly or hard and dry.
My boyfriend and i just went there this morning to try somewhere new and it was so beautiful inside and the atmosphere was amazing! I had a Oatmilk Vanilla Latte and it was delicious and my boyfriend had the caramel macchiato and said it tasted better then starbucks!!
Today I ordered the Fried Egg Sandwich with bacon added. For what they charge, I should have received more than a HINT of bacon! I also ordered the Cinnamon Whirl. That wasn't any better as it was dry and tasted like it'd been refrigerated! Rounding out my order, the Puff Pastry with ham. I can only hope it's better! Whatever the case, I won't be ordering again. It seems they're cutting corners and charging too much!
The cream in the cream puff was gross, it was very thick and sticky like it had been sitting out for too long, the same with the top of the lemon bar. Both the cold desserts and the cookies we had were definitely not fresh. Also, Diana was not friendly toward us at all and didn't seem to want to be there and serve customers. Not a positive experience, unfortunately, because I would love to have a local Italian bakery spot to take my family to when they visit.
Dianna and her shop/cafe are a staple of downtown Benicia. She’s so kind, and makes THE BEST breakfast sandwiches! Always enjoy coming here for a treat :)
Yum. The bakery treats were so good, I had the Lobster Tail... it was a croissant cone filled with cream drizzled with chocolate sauce and it was divine. Fresh brewed me some earl grey iced tea also which was yummy! I also noticed the local dairy (cream, half n half, milk) in glass bottles. I love that stuff!
A beautiful gourmet gem in down town Benicia. Shop and Be inspired by the local epicurean delights stay and order a coffee and yummy pastries in the back and chat with Dianna. For the foodie, chef and baker in your life make a gift basket that is sure to impress and delight. Love it here.
