Really cute spot off the highway in Colfax. As new residents, we wanted to try the food for a minute. It was just as good as expected. I actually had my food ordered to-go; it was still warm an hour after being made and so yummy. I got the steak and eggs - best sirloin steak I've ever had off a breakfast menu. It was cooked exactly as ordered, and the eggs were scrambled nicely, and with flavor, I might add. The rest of the family loved their food and enjoyed the diner. We will be back! We stopped here on our way into Tahoe and were expecting a more down-home experience given the location. We were pleasantly surprised—the food was excellent (husband said the best Chicken Fried Steak he had ever had!!) and the wait staff/kitchen were very accommodating to our gluten-free/dairy free requests and to our cranky kids. The dining area is super clean, updated and has a fun atmosphere. Would 10/10 recommend and return for more delicious food and drinks. Try the biscuits and gravy. LOVE the remodel! Super clean, friendly staff who are very attentive to customer service! I never ran out of coffee or water! Perfect spot to stop at on your way to Tahoe! Lots of parking in the back & Great bar to catch the games as well! Highly recommend checking it out next time you're heading up north! The servers were beyond great!! The food was really good. I have driven by this place and have said that we need to stop, we should have stopped, years ago.... Price per person $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Eggs Benedict
