Celebrated my wife's birthday at this location. We both spent time in Germany during my military career and this was a close resemblance to our dining experience in Germany. I enjoyed all the German dishes I ordered and the German Beer on tap was most excellent. The good: Went here for my wife’s birthday, we went on a Saturday night and got in right away. The place has great vibes, the ambient was vibrant with live entertainment, musicians were nice, fun and interactive. Food was tasteful and freshly made, best pretzel I have ever had, appetizers were brought out pretty fast. The bad: I think the kitchen prioritizes GrubHub orders first and food takes a little too long. Time flies when you are entertained so you don’t really notice how much time has passed until you actually look at the time. Waited about 45-60minutes to get our actual meals. Older German lady served us… didn’t catch her name but she was wonderful! Incredible place with an atmosphere to boot.... Literally... They have boots!! 2 or 3 liter boots! They play live music on the weekends, the kids love their spinach soup... They can eat two quart sized containers in one sitting. Overall and incredible place that you have to visit... The staff is also really helpful and nice. Love the place, our party of three tried, beef stroganoff, pork medallions & fish. Everything had good taste and portions were more than enough. We like dark beer and the two flavors we had were excellent. Prices were very reasonable and service was EXCELLENT. Too bad we came for an early dinner and left by the time the musicians were arriving. We will definitely be back. Cost benefit was GREAT. Service and outdoor dining space were excellent! The 3 lb pork shank is so so good! Wide range of draft German beer selections too. Highly recommend this place!

This place is awesome! The atmosphere, and the service are outstanding. The food was delicious. The portions are huge and the prices are great. And they have 16 beers on tap. Go in now to get the seasonal Oktoberfest! I loved this place and will be sure to return! I'm satisfied and overall great food and services. Laschet's Inn on East Irving Park suits my taste better. Taste is a kind of mild side for me. Pork shank and roasted duck were good but not crispy enough on skin. Seasoning is kind of mild to my taste, but the side that came with the dish was amazing. Love Sauerkraut and pickle beet.
