It was our first time in an Uyghur restaurant. We saw some nice feedback about the Rockville location for Eerkin's, and we decided to try it. We came on a rainy Saturday early evening (3.9.2024). The place had one occupied table. But as we stayed, people started to come. It had a nice, comfortable atmosphere. The service was pleasant; they were nice and always smiling. The food looked "familiar," but the flavors were new to us. They were a great selection. But the masterpiece was obviously the Kordak - that impressive Lamb Shank Pot Pie! It was delicious! This is my first time here and it was pretty good but not amazing. What is amazing is the customer service! Our waiter was one of the most polite servers I’ve had. 5 stars for 5 reasons 1. What really stood out is the customer service provided that day was exceptional and that’s how all servers should be. 2. The noodle dish and the lamb rice dish was really good. In house noodle and the texture is perfect. Came with bits and pieces of chicken which worked really well. 3. The waiter was informed that I was there to celebrate my birthday. He brought me cake on the house! That is awesome! 4. The ambiance is perfect for the exception of the lighting, bright light. Perfect lighting would be warmer lighting. 5. I just had the eggplant salad and wow! So savory with the umami flavors from the soy but the tomatoes and greens were light and refreshing while the eggplant provided this amazing bittersweet anchor to the whole dish. Delicious! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
