I visited the store to collect my online order, but unfortunately, they were out of bagels. Despite ordering a mixed dozen, they only had two types of bagels available, which wasn't sufficient to fulfill my order, especially considering it was around 1pm.
Great Asiago bagel with a schmear this visit. Did it at the drive thru.
This place was a staple for me 15 years ago, and I stopped by for nostalgia in mind. It didn't disappoint.
Great location, with easy access on route 40 west, with a turnaround from the 40 east right out front.
Tons of parking there or behind the restaurant.
Eat in or carry out, they have a great, healthy menu. Great sandwiches with a large amount of bagel or bread choices.
It's a stand-alone building, which seems to matter to me for some reason.

Went there this morning 12/07. Bagel sandwiches were ok. I've been here before and remembered them to be better. Same with the twice baked hash brown where they used to have flavor and now are bland, like biting directly into a potato with nothing. And the coffee was luke warm. I will not go out of my way for this again.

Why is the dine in area still closed? I stopped going because I can no longer sit and eat my food. UPDATE: See the business' reply. They should have just said "we are to lazy and under staffed to randomly wipe a couple of tables...... As I said...I won't be back.

This Einstein Bros. Bagels location has gone completely down hill. It is horrible. Sunday after church stopping at Einstein Bros. Bagels has been my routine for the family for over 25 years here and in Illinois.
The one in Ellicott City used to be a bustling busy well trafficked store where elderly friends would gather, eat, drink and socialize. The community table was fun. I'd read the news paper and meet new people on every visit.
Now this place is a dystopian, sad lifeless place where patrons seem unwelcome. They've slowly and consistently removed the option to eat in, to the point they weren't satisfied with just putting "No Sitting' signs on every table. They've removed every table and chair that wasn't bolted to the floor.
The service is as sad as the interior looks. I ordered a Strawberry Banana Smoothy Mix. How's that possible? Ordered a breakfast sandwhich on a Honey Whole Wheat bagel. I'm looking at one in the bin. I ask the cashier to "please grab that last one" . She keeps hitting the cash register. I ask again, please grab that Honey Whole Wheat, she acknowledges my request but keeps tapping the keys on the monitor. Then when she finally decides to act it's gone, then tells me we close in less than an hour so we are not making more. I look at my watch and they have about 1:20 before closing, translation, "we don't care, we started closing long ago".
I wait 2 min., my order comes up. I ask a guy at the register near the door if he was a manager? He never looks at me, says "no" and walks out the door. I obviously asked for a reason. He offered no alternative nor did he offer to find a manager.
I leave and look up the store and called. I hit <Option 3> three times to speak to an employee before determining I was in an infinite loop of no service.
I'm done with this place. So many other options. No reason to remain loyal to a store that has given up on service and seemingly is slowly putting itself out of business discretely.

The bagels are wonderful. I typically get a loaded lox sandwich on an everything bagel and I often get a hot specialty drink. Very yummy! Don't do the potatoes - as other reviewers have said, they are very disappointing.
The drive-through was just as quick as going into the store. The staff is courteous.
The seating area is clean and comfortable. The bathroom is generally clean (once it wasn't, but when I spoke to staff, someone went right away to check it).
I'm told this is one of the busiest store locations in the region. It's easy to see why.

I went there 11/30/2023 8:30 in the morning. I ordered dozens bagel.
The black guy was very rude. Through the bagel I ordered in the box and being obnoxious about it.
I was forced to cancel my order but it due to appointment with my co-workers.
I like this bagel but I'll never go there because of his unreasonable attitude.
