The service was very fast, I didn’t feel the waitress was all that friendly, I wish those waiting on you would realize their service and attitude is what earns them their tips and brings customers back along with the quality of the food. I didn’t find the Shrimp Fajitas were overwhelming tasteful, didn’t seem to have a lot of flavor, large portions which was good, should have been for $20. My friend asked for some guacamole because the meal she received didn’t have any, the waitress said “that is because you ordered a lunch meal.” My friend did not think she did, the waitress brought the guacamole, didn’t say anything about an charge for it, but she was charged $1.75, if we would have known that, she wouldn’t have asked for it! We had a group of 10 and they were fairly busy so take this into consideration. We had short wait to get a table but also took a while to get service after we got seated. There were a number of mix-ups with our orders and the food was so-so. I would give it another chance though to give them the benefit of the doubt. El Zarape, chips & salsa, and happy hour margaritas are the best. Keep the Mexican atmosphere. Wish you didn't paint the walls white. I like a purple wall, a yellow wall, etc. It's my escape to Mexico w/o leaving WI. I love this restaurant. I've been here twice now. The first time I was a bit skeptical being from phoenix which has incredible Mexican food. I almost always get camarones a las diablas. It's my favorite dish. The first time I had it here it was so good. We came back this year and I ordered the same. Not sure what happened but it was so salty and not spicy. The tortillas were cold. No big deal. I just asked for fresh ones. The server accommodated the request easy peasy. The service was ok but I did get the impression he assumed we weren't going to be big tippers (fresh from hunting so the men in the group were looking a bit scruffy) and I felt he served us with that in mind. However the biggest letdown was the Spanish speakers assuming no white person ever learned the language. Stop trash talking your guests right in front of them. It's so rude.
