Traveling from Houston, Visiting my daughter, she brought me here, EXCELLENT, GREAT TASTE!!!! I am curious why the young cashier said to me there is no chicken, just to sell 5 portions of it 5 seconds after. 🤔 Especially weird for a chicken restaurant, out of rush hour.... This place is good for occasional eats. The problem is that the chicken is small. The flavor on most all the food is good, but the portions you get are below average. Ordered a papa asada with beef fajita and was given a gordita. The employee said I ordered the gordita and I couldn’t exchange. Manager came to the front and said the same thing. When I clearly didn’t and have never ordered a gordita in my life. Employee and manager refused to change my order. I am a regular customer at this location and will not be returning. The customer service is poor and they really need to put an English speaker. Also you cannot force someone to eat something they didn’t order. Servers name is Maria and she has the worst customer service. Meal type Lunch Price per person $20–30

We have already tried many different places that have Mexican food, and we always go back to El Pollo Rico. The food is very well condimented and tasty. They are always very polite and friendly. We always used the drive-through, and they are always helpful. I've come here often, and the service is always tremendous! Leidi helped me tonight 11/17/23, and was SuPeR helpful and convincing on what to get when I couldn't make up my mind. Then when I got home and my order was wrong, she told me to come back on her next day working, and my order would be on the house! This is absolutely, above and beyond (and how it should be!), for a restaurant that is doing what they can to 'make it right'!! Two thumbs TF up Leidi!!! Foods great and they're pretty quick. My gripe is the lids for drinks. They spilled some of the drinks handing it to me and it spilled in my truck. They were literally coming off with little force. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

We came here on a Friday night through the drive through and it took a half hour from when we got there to when we got our food. There was a pretty long line and we ordered three menu items. We ordered the chicken gordita, chicken flautas, and chicken taco plate. I liked the chicken taco plate the best and the gordita was pretty good as well. The flautas were average. I'll definitely come back but just be aware the drive through is slow. Update: we came back when it was less busy and the service was so friendly. We got the chicken taco plate again and it was just as delicious this time. We also ordered their churros. One order is two large churros. They have this super yummy filling and are the perfect amount of crispy. They are the best churros I’ve ever had, they are so good!

Came here for an early lunch and went through the drive thru. There’s a lot of gnats, and the wait was very long just for three things but the food was really good. Their green sauce is my favorite! Added that to my Rico bowl and it made it even better. Plantains taste like the frozen ones but are still delicious. Definitely will try another el pollo Rico though. Outstanding food!! We ordered the half and chicken,the quesadilla and the loaded fries with carne asada. Although the chicken was not cooked the way we wanted and had to send it back, the cashier was really nice and offered another chicken or another item from the menu. The quesadilla was the best QUESADILLA I've ever had, and the fries were so delicious we will definitely be back and try more items.
