The staff is energetic that's what makes this spot so good. Spectacular service is something visitors like here. Prices at this bar claim to be attractive. Today was my wife’s birthday and I booked a reservation early on open table and includes notes on her birthday. I had requested seat by water . Do they read the notes ? It was all bad from seating order an omelet where server was not there and I had another server get her to her while making my omelet took a phone call and disappeared . My table server who questions 2 order of churro pancakes when I had three people at the table . I asked for GM but , got the culinary manager who listened but took no action . I think he was overwhelmed . To make matters worse I had said it was wife’s birthday and nothing done where I had seen at other tables . The icing on the cake was processing of the bill where I had provided my rewards information which not applied . You have incompetent people running the restaurant without using common sense . I will not be returning . This experience had nothing to do with food but , the experience . You can get good food anywhere . What makes you different it has to be experience and mine was terrible . I have been going to El Torito’s for years and have not went since the pandemic. I went last weekend for brunch and it was amazing. Jessica our waitress was the BEST! The bartender was on point! I even had to ask for the manager to make sure she was aware of the gem she had in Jessica!! Definitely going back and hopefully Jessica is working!! The food is excellent just like El toritos in the 90s really. We used to have 2 locations in Sacramento but just like everything else in Sacramento it went away. The views are awesome sits right on the bay you can see San Francisco far off and the Oakland airport. Staff works hard is well accommodating. When we are in.town we will be back! We love sitting along the bay and watching the bay birds while eating delicious food. Their Valentines day special was a great deal and very good. We brought home leftovers and our Mudd pie desert! The margarita flight ( classic, mango and my fav blackberry) were tasty and strong. Ser ice was, as always , friendly and attentive.
