The food is good but maybe because I am from India, so I had more expectations from this place. The saffron marinated prawns were not as expected. I asked the waiter before ordering if it would be slightly sweet and if that be the case, I won’t order it. But it was slightly sweet and did not have saffron flavour that I was expecting. It was very average. The rogan Josh mutton was not as tender as it usually is. It was a bit chewy! It was all good overall but I expected more! Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

Very good curry and would 100% recommend. It's maybe a little unfair to give 4 star as we have such a good local curry house. For a curry place in a hotel it's top notch. Price per person €30–35 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

We had a wonderful evening at the Essence of India. The food was tasty and delicious, and the atmosphere is extremely tastefully decorated. The staff were helpful and friendly, where we had great service. Overall we had a great experience. It was really a wonderful evening in this elegant restaurant and the food was beautiful. The atmosphere of the restaurant is amazing and the welcome is excellent. They gave us a birthday cake according to the recommendation and it was delicious. All the staff were friendly, helpful and Very interested including the restaurant manager and especially Jerry.
