Phenomenal! I can see why it was rated best burger in 2023. I appreciate the legend of Huxley Iowa Matt Gatchel for taking me there. I knew Matt would not take us to a place that would disappoint. This place is amazing. Food is great. Drive 3 hours for the worst service in ia. We were there around 1pm and they were not terrible busy. There was a lot of staff around, our waitress took a long time to deliver menus and a picture of water, and was gone for another 20 minutes. We were going to leave when she took notice and then took our orders. We ordered "onion rings" they were onion straws and they were soaked in so much oil. And then the sprouts. There was maybe 5 sprouts and they were raw and burnt at the same time (how). The burgers were the only savior of the meal. We had to get our owne refills. There were several staff gathered eat drinking and chatting but no attention to customers. After we had finished what we could stomach. We had to actively find our server to get the bill befor we could leave. Maybe just a off day? The Foundation Burger won a ‘Best Burger in Iowa’ award last year, and for good reason. I like to get it with a side of sweet potato fries. Or, if a burger isn’t what you’re looking for, you won’t be disappointed. Most of the menu is pretty good. Overall, this restaurant is really high quality for being in a relatively small town.
