I had a negative experience on Saturday evening. My kids and I went there around 5:30 pm to grab dinner. There were 4-5 tables of people and a handful of people at the bar. There were 2 servers/bartenders working. We sat at a table and waited. And waited. And waited 5-10 minutes for someone to come to our table with menus. She left them and said she'd "be right back". Another 5-10 minutes go by before she comes back. During this time, I noticed that the other girl was clearing some glasses and dishes, but could have easily stopped over to grab our drink order. She definitely noticed us sitting there with no drinks and could have come over to take our order. Our server finally came back (to her credit, she thanked us for our patience) and took our food and drink order. I ordered a cherry vodka and Diet Coke and then we waited some more. Again, I noticed our server was at another table and the girl behind the bar was once again not making any drinks and sort of wandering around. I went up to the bar to ask for our drinks and she was clearly annoyed and said something to the effect of "I saw your order and she was looking for the cherry vodka. I'll make them for you." She came over with my kids' drinks and told me that she was out of cherry vodka so I asked for vanilla instead. She said she didn't have that either. By this time, I'm completely annoyed with the service, the waiting and her lack of customer service. We ended up walking out. Just an FYI, we went up the street to Hideaway. There was ONE bartender there. We sat down, he was at our table within 1-2 minutes with menus, came back 2-3 minutes later to take our order and brought our drinks almost right away. He had a FULL bar and another 1-2 tables. Not sure why your employees weren't able to handle the customers you had, but you will lose business if that is the norm. Food: 3 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 3

Great service. Food was outstanding! St first the music was just a little too loud. We asked to have it turned down. Very accommodating, got better. Can't wait to go back in summer. Fish fry is good. Got the combo, but should have stuck with the cod, the best part. Potato pancakes were good too. Clam chowder was nice. Jalapeno poppers were the hit of the table. Quiet fall evening so service was pretty quick compared to summer. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Waited about 45 mins to see a server by the beach. Apparently someone didn't show up to work that day. Once we got a server, things went quite quickly. I got the buffalo chicken wrap, which had a barely detectable amount of sauce in the occasional bite while the chicken was very dry/overcooked. Overall, would not recommend the food based on my few visits, but the atmosphere is great if you're looking for a fun lakeside hangout with drinks. Food: 3 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 5

The atmosphere is as perfect as you can ask for here. Food is really really good no matter what I've ordered it's been made perfect. Staff is very friendly and checking on your table just the right amount of times. Only down fall is I've always waited a long time for the food to arrive. I do get they are busy and in today's economy it's hard finding help so I'm fine with waiting knowing the food is amazing and the scenery outside is beautiful and peaceful. Definitely a must try. I THINK I’M DONE WITH THIS PLACE! Been visiting the place for years, Dinner and drinks on the lakefront patio on a sunny summer day is the best. Service suffered as a result of the pandemic, what are you going to do? Stuck with them through it all. This year I’m noticing portion’s getting smaller and smaller, while menu prices go through the roof. Great cheese curds up 33% to a whopping $12!! Used to get a generous portion of great homemade chips with my burger, recently that portion is cut in half at least. So today I sprung for a side of fries on the side. OH MY GOODNESS WHAT A RIPOFF! I was told when ordering there would be a 50+ minute wait for food, I suspect the kitchen just can’t keep up. But a little consistency and an attempt to deliver some sort of value to those customers who choose to wait would be nice. Meal type Dinner Price per person $30–50 Atmosphere: 2

Wow, the food here was perfect! Among the best "bar/tavern" food I've ever had - and my two guests agreed. It ranks among the best value and taste anywhere! Our server, Sammi, was gracious and friendly. The Bloody Mary was also excellent! Becca had the Pan-sautéed Walleye - tasty, full of flavor. Sue had the Tenderloin Sandwich - a generous hunk of beef, juicy and tender. Her Tater Tots by the way- were even better than the French Fries - perfect Tater Tots! I had the Prime Rib Dip Sandwich, with caramelized onions, green peppers, mozzarella, mushrooms, au jus, horseradish, J-1 sauce. It was huge and amazing! We were here for lunch and to pick up our "Foolerys Polar Plunge" sweatshirts from New Years Eve. This place is a 40- minute drive from Franklin, but it's well worth the ride. Food is excellent, atmosphere is awesome, bartenders and wait staff are professional and polite, view is awesome and it’s always busy. Burger’s are excellent and even better when they have bison in stock. Seems to be popular and is often sold out but so good when they have it. Sour cream and chive fries are epic.

Stopped in for a bite with a buddy and we each ordered a taco trio meal one made with ground beef and one with the brisket. We were fairly dissatisfied because both meals were pretty tasteless. Drinks, staff and the location on the lake were excellent. Will stop again some time and try some other items on the menu.
