I'm a SoCal native visiting some family in the area and in classic Asian American traveling fashion, we were all craving Chinese food after one day away from home. Ginger Court was the perfect option. My favorite vegetable is the pea vine/shoots (pronounced something like do miao) and this place made a deliciously authentic version; some of the best I've ever had. We also got the beef and snow peas, ma po tofu, and general gao's chicken. These dishes were very good, maybe a little more westernized, but still very tasty. We dined in, and the service was curt but fine. I can tell how good the food is by how the service is at a Chinese restaurant (iykyk). It made me feel at home. I would definitely eat here again! I ordered a poo poo for 2 thru door dash and a couple of sides. The sides showed up but not the platter. I called and the woman told me that is was not their problem and hung up. I called back and got a guy on the phone. I explained that I wanted what was ordered. Long story short, he told me to suck his you know what and hung up. Never again will I ever call there again. The owner was incredibly rude, and condescending. My friend and I came to have a simple catch up and the owner was telling us how to behave, for example, scolding my friend for leaning back in his chair. And on top of that, he snuck a few extra dollars into the tip. I should’ve taken a photo of my receipt but I didn’t leave a huge tip. I left 18%… magically i supposedly left a 25% tip 🤨.
