The perfect spot to break from your hike with lovely food options. But today it looked like it is closed for the season (October 29, 2023)

Just wanted to pop in a recent review for this snack shop since I know there are people out there wondering what type of food you can get here (I know I was! Especially when you’re planning a visit to Glacier Point, it’s important to plan what to do for lunch). Initially I was going to get one of these packed sandwiches from our hotel, but I was worried the sandwiches would get hot and gross. I did some research and found out the Glacier Point snack shop might have some food options, so we decided to risk it and get lunch at the snack shop. I read online that the snack shop used to have hot foods like hot dogs and pulled pork sandwiches, but right now, there are only pre-made cold sandwiches. There was a good selection of sandwiches (Italian sandwich, egg sandwich, chicken salad, ham and cheese, turkey, Cuban, etc), plus lots of snacks as you would expect. Lots of people also get ice cream here. We got ice cream obviously and also tried the cold sandwiches. I thought the sandwiches were a decent lunch option and better than a prepacked sandwich that’s been sitting out for 3+ hours.

The workers were extremely rude. My friends and I went to get a cold drink at 4:30pm, a half hour before closing. We got there and the doors were locked. They told us the closing sign was a misprint. I understand that people want to leave work early, however come up with a better excuse or post the “real” closing sign outside.

The small gift shop discriminates against individuals who don't have a mask to wear inside the store. I had just hiked to the top of the mountain on the 4 mile hike and was starving/thirsty. The store worker at the front would not let me or my friend (who is fully vaccinated against Covid 19) step foot to shop inside the store since we didn't have a mask. I asked if he had a mask for me and he said no, but that i could buy one from their store. Terrible customer service.
The workers were very rude. My friends and I showed up at 4:33pm and were told “to get out” and “you cannot come in here, turn around”. The sign outside the store says they close at 5pm, so does google. The workers clearly wanted to leave early and were extremely disrespectful.

After a long hike up to Glacier Point from the Valley, this store was a welcome sight. Sandwiches, drinks, snacks, and Yosemite merchandise can be purchased here.
I was there around 9 am on a Sunday in June. There isn't a lot of information about this place on the internet. I planned for there to be no food so I didn't eat there but it looked like it would be fine, just arrive early. There was a menu with prices for a variety of sandwiches, plus pretzels and hot dogs(see picture) Cafe wasn't open yet. Reasonably priced drinks and snacks(considering the location), you can buy them at the gift shop register. Gift shop was nice, similar items to the camp store shops in the valley, a few special glacier point shirts, and the official national park walking stick pins. Passed by it around noon on my way back it looked really crowded. Everyone seemed to be buying ice cream, so that's the thing to do. Also important to note that all toilets at Glacier Point are outhouses. Don't keep going looking for a flush toilet, you won't find one. The views are worth it!
