Great location with a lot of nearby parking in the garages. Views over campus are perfect. Bar service is fast (hey, it's a campus bar after all!), but service out on the patio is great, too, if you are patient because the place does get full. They do enforce id's, of course, but they also enforce the maximum head count. This is fabulous because it means they get full but never overpacked (you know what I'm talking about). Decent selection of beers and whiskeys. Wine choices are slim but ok. They'll make any mixed drink you can name or describe, so go for it. If you want to enjoy the views with less of a crowd, go early. But if you want the views, the crowd, and the energy? Go after dark!

My friend and I are MSU Grad students and normally enjoy the graduate bar as an enjoyable environment for older student. However, we recently participated in a college sponsored event and decided to end our night here. Despite our excitement we were greeted with nothing but disrespect and denied service due to wearing line leap apparel even though we said that we had other clothes and would take it off. As someone who enjoys this environment I am deeply saddened by the service I was given and plan to take it elsewhere.
