I kinda like it here. Texels witte, that’s why I’m here mostly. But what I’d have also recommend here is the Traditioneel Frans desembrood, groentespread en tapenades, taste like home made, lekker, lekker, finger licking food Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

We picked a seat outside at this place on a sunny Saturday, located at the main square and also the museum. The service was good, the staff was friendly and they even “allowed” us to practice our Dutch :D The food took a bit to arrive, but everything was delicious. We order some sandwich, toasty and a soup, and we finished it up with some poffertjes as dessert. Prices were around average. Probably will visit again if I ever go back to Oudewater. We were taken here by 2 local friends on a wet day and the very thoughtful staff immediately took all of our wet coats and hung them to dry!! What a very enjoyable experience! Last Sunday we made a reservation for dinner with our families. On arrival we were greeted warmly and were guided to our table. Soon there was freshly baked bread on the table and our chosen bottles of wines. The food tastes just as good as it looks, and I can safely say everyone at our table was pleased. You can really taste that the kitchen cooks with love and passion. All in all a great night out, very good service, and overall very pleasant ambiance. Definitely will visit again, it's worth a detour! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

First dined here in 2019 & the food was incredible and we’ve been coming here at least twice a year since- Due to COVID-19 restrictions. Their surprise menu is always delicious, too. In 2021, they were able to do a delivery for their 4course surprise menu for my birthday and the plates were already plated, gave us the proper instructions to keep them warm, and their team member was very helpful during delivery. In the summertime, we have biked over for some bites and cocktails. I love the atmosphere and their location. I’m always excited to dine, take out, or get delivery here. Gorgeous historic house, with modern facilities, like elevator for persons in wheelchair, high tech kitchen, beautiful modem interior, good food and drinks, terrace with all round view in fairytale center of one of the oldest (tiny) cities in the Netherlands.

The location is awesome in the center of Oudewater. The lunch selection is good and the quality of the food is as well. The staff behaves friendly enough but there is a big problem here with the slowness of service as well as a lack of listening to the customer. Firstly we had to beg to be served then we had asked for a late macchiato with oat milk but were served a normal one (we compared to the other latte we had which was supposed to be normal milk). We asked for flat water and were served bubbly water and finally when asked for a fork to eat we had to ask at least twice before it was brought out. It would also be nice if there were more menus!! The toilets are very clean and well appointed.

Beautiful location in the centre of Oudewater. Good quality food made with a passion for cooking. Make reservations in the weekend!
