12/30/2023 Holder's Country Inn Holder's has become my diner favorite. I have repeated many times for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. All my meals have been satisfying and filling. I recommend trying the comfort food daily specials like the Steak and Peppers. The Rib Eye Steak dinner was excellent and a good value. The Liver and Onions is a great, not easy to find anywhere else dish. The soups are thick and hearty, almost a meal itself. Clean and modern spacious interior. Service is always excellent. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

First time visiting this place and I was so impressed! I tried the California omelette souffle which came with fresh avocado, tomatoes, and mushrooms. It also came with two giant buttermilk pancakes and hash browns. Easily the best tasting and fluffiest eggs I've had in quite some time. For $15 you get enough food to feed 3 people. The portions here are extremely generous to say the least! To top it off, their house coffee is actually good which surprised me. The staff is very friendly and attentive. I have never been to the original locations (Cupertino, San Jose) of this restaurant chain and therefore had no expectations for this “diner” restaurant. The menu states breakfast, lunch and dinner served all day. I ordered the mushroom, spinach, avocado soufflé omelette for which I opted to replace the toast with a pancake. (I emphasized single when I ordered and now wonder what I would have gotten if I didn’t make this request). My fellow friend opted for a waffle and was treated to a nice caramel-brown Belgian waffle. The omelette had a rich buttery taste and fluffy texture. A cross-section view of the omelette uncovered layers of eggy-goodness, meaty mushrooms and fresh spinach. The accompanying hash browns were very (too) crispy. Pancake was delicious. I ended up eating 50-70% of what was offered. So next time I think I will share my breakfast “family” style.
