On the rainy day of 02.03.24 at 5:22pm, I reserved a table via walk in for a party of 6. Total of 5 immediately was seated and the remaining guest arrived late due to being unfamiliar with the area and lack of parking due to the nearby tourist attractions. The tardiness of the remaining guest clearly bothered staff via passive aggressive attitude. Also, the waitress threatened to relocate the party to a different location of the restaurant with the reasoning that the back patio was closed due to the rain. Once the final guest arrived, the passive aggressive attitude from the waitress started to simmer but the attitude was still present. Upon the issuance, of the final tab (pictured in this review) a total of $14 gratuities was signed for the waitress. Several days after the transaction has fully processed, an additional $25.90 was charged without my consent and without explanation. Myself and Jr (who accompanied myself on 02.03.24 & left a brief review on 2.6.24 regarding this visit) are regular customers that visit at least monthly to enjoy the food and the atmosphere. While the poor weather on that day has limited the occupancy of the business, this does not justify the poor attitude of staff whatsoever. This unfortunate situation has left us feeling unwelcomed and taken advantaged of. Do better. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Food: 5 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 3

So my wife and I also came here off the back of reviews read, and read about people being glad they trusted the reviews. Well so are we! We went on a Thursday evening in January, and unlike anywhere else that evening, Hula's was buzzing. Loved the different areas of the place. We first sat at the bar enjoying a couple of drinks. The bar tender behind the "Tiki Tiki" bar was very welcoming and friendly and she looked after us well. We then sat in a nearby booth where we had great food. Enjoyed the shrimp spring rolls, then for mains, jerk chicken and also sweet potato fries. This place is great! Arrived at dinner. It was very busy time and seated within 30min. I had Ahi with blackened wasabi sauce and Duke Luau's Pork Plate, beer was Mai Tai P.A. We went here around 3pm for a late lunch. Overall is pretty good without much surprising. Plenty options for vegetarians. The starter, shrimp roll is delicious! The fish Taco and vegan sandwich is good. Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

We came for lunch, was busy which is a good sign. Got seated quickly and they were very accommodating with helping us fold/place our stroller out of the way. Server was great, attentive, recommended one meal over another and she nailed the recommendation. Had the pork plate and the lunch special, everything was delicious. Looking for that “local vibe” and went to Hula’s Island Grill. The reality wasn’t as good as the expectation. I had the macadamia encrusted mahi and my wife, the ahi tuna tacos. The menu paints a good picture but the food while good, was just average. I had a blood orange martini and my wife, a Blue Hawaii. Far from a martini, they were served on a faux tiki glass. Filled with crushed ice and frankly, rather tasteless. Through it all the island music is too loud for conversation but, the service was very good and attentive.
