5th IHOP location is quite nice it kind of sits out of the way yet not really out of the way. Having been here several times the booths are quite nice. Staff is helpful and generous. Food is what you would expect from an IHOP if IHOP food with a lot of sugar and a lot of chocolate and a lot of what you want. I’ve never ate at an IHOP that I enjoyed the food at…. But today was the exception. Our server went out of her way to take a sandwich and make a platter out of it. Liked some of the food, little to over cooked on the hash browns but eh, BIGG TIP, y'all needa stop being on those Damn phones & actually go around and ask people if their good & if they need anything. Not us having to call them the whole time because their to stuck on their phones to not pay attention to the customer. We were literally the only ones there . DO BETTER because we love IHOP. You already know what to expect from IHOP. Pancakes are the specialty, of course, and anything else is not going to compare. Get the pancakes. This was the only place open to eat at 8 o'clock on Thanksgiving Day. We were only in Hays for the night. The staff here was harried from the full house of customers, but had smiles, great attitudes, and great service. Thus the extra star. Food: 3 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 3

I was served very burnt chicken strips then asked for another plate and got the same result. I tried contacting manager but he gave excuse saying all chicken is put in fryer for 5 mins. The food is always very good. Our last waitress had some issues going on (she couldn't stand still and was very fidgety). That is the reason for the lower rating on service. She didn't check on us but one time, and that's a big part of good service as far as we are concerned. My bacon was both burnt and undercooked. The server was working solo and unable to manage the needs of guests properly. She had no hussle and worked slowly and allowed guests to just wait until she worked at her overly slow pace to take orders and follow up.
