We were on a road trip & stopped in the shopping center nearby when we saw the sign & decided we wanted to check it out. There was a short line which gave us time to browse the numerous ice cream flavors available. Their claim to fame is warm waffle cones & they are available in plain, cinnamon & chocolate. I opted for a chocolate waffle bowl & 2 flavors of ice cream: brown butter bourbon truffle & cappuccino crunch. The waffle cone was tasty, but the ice creams were phenomenal! Both had great texture & amazing flavor. We all thoroughly enjoyed our treats & would highly recommend Jack the Dipper! We love coming to get ice cream here when we come to visit my Daughter that lives nearby. The employees are very friendly .The ice cream is wonderful and the warm homemade waffle bowls are even better. Thanks for your service. I wish I could open a Jack the Dipper near where I live. Amazing ice cream! I am still stuck on the two flavors I tried the first time I went there and this will be my 4th time going. If these two flavors are so incredible, I can only imagine how good the other flavors will be too! If you’re in Waynesville, you must stop here! Your life will be better for it! Another great visit to Jack the Dipper! Only had one vegan flavor this time, so I cheated and had Prailines in a vanilla waffle cone. Great ice cream. Had chocolate waffle cone with vegan chocolate chip ice cream. We'll be back tomorrow. Service: 5

I dont live here anymore and haven't been in about 5 years but when I lived in waynesville this was THE ice cream place. anytime my mom asked if we wanted to go get ice cream this is the place we'd always go, I remember it being some of the best ice cream and some of my fondest memories of living in western NC.
