I'm not one to leave reviews, but I was thoroughly unimpressed with Jake's. I ordered the Jake's Que Platter with Pulled Pork, and the BBQ was very slimy and greasy. I asked how I liked the food, I told them it was pretty greasy and I wasn't a fan, but also told them I wasn't mad about it, the poor waitress definitely felt awkward about it afterwords. Also during this whole time, staff was bad mouthing an employee who had called out, and if you have never been in here before, the acoustics are quite loud. They should probably be careful about talking bad about other employees in the public eye, you never know who might be listening you bad mouth someone. Great place. Visit frequently. Small dining space that's quiet most of the time and the table turnover rate is decent. The fries are amazing and they always have interesting special of the day dishes. The parking lot is very small and can run out of room easily. The menu variety is great and the in-laws in from Texas enjoyed the pulled pork. Bathrooms are clean. Arrived at Jake for a well anticipated meal for which we had been waiting to do for a while. The food was good, the management was quite a doffeeent story!!!!!!! After completing a meal with six people and deserts. The manager/owner came to our table to request us to leave so the could service other customers. It was like “we got your money so please move along. We were enjoying their establishment and reminiscing when we we approached and ask to leave. I feel the actions they took, was very disrespectful. I will not be referring Jake’s Place to my friends or associates. I will also relay this message Jeff Katz. And maybe he may want to think twice about who he sponsers in the future. We arrived in the parking lot and thought we were at the dump, we walked in the door and they had propane tanks around the entrance, our family was already seated so we joined them and ordered food and drinks, the food was good and the service was too, we sat for 30 minutes and a gentleman dressed like Elmer Fudd came to our table and said that they had another guest waiting for our table and asked us to leave, I will never go back there again and and will only speak badly about the place.
