Let's start here, AMAZING! The atmosphere is very laid back. There are train displays and photos everywhere. You can operate the trains with quarter machines and they will go around the store. There is plenty of seating. The food was phenomenal. Not a single person had a complaint. We are a family of six. Every single one of us ordered something different and everyone agreed their meal was amazing. This is not your dress to impress kind of location. This is a come as you are sandwich shop. Definitely worth the stop. The train displays are beautiful. It is very kid and family friendly and I highly recommend it. My family & I eat here 1-2x's a month. Also, every month, I buy a case of the delicious frozen burgers to cook for my family. Very kid friendly, bring a quarter or 2 to see the train display operate. Extremely polite staff, pretty decent Hotdogs, and the prices were very fair. I will say the hot sausage is much better than the special Frankfurter. Nice place for quick stop for several different food items. I wanted to try their hot dogs which were very good. Large and meaty dogs. I was expecting to be able to get a fine ground chili sauce on the dog, but all they have to offer is regular soap chili to put on it. I did enjoy the sweet peppers though. Been coming here since I was a kid i i8always loved the trains. Now I take my grandkids and they love the trains and Nana enjoys watching them watch the trains. Of course food delish also. Classic American Hot Dog Spot. Operated since 1940 by the same family. The dogs are made especially for them and are unlike any you've tried elsewhere. The self serve hot grilled onions and sauerkraut are delicious. The sides including fries or onion rings are standard fare. The hot dogs are available frozen to bring home for your next BBQ. The coin operated model train displays are kicking old school feels that the Littles seem to love. Take a time machine back a few decades and have some delightful Americana in a basket. Nom noms. Absolutely spectacular burgers. This is the best burger joint I've ever been to (and I have been to A LOT of burger joints across America). Not only do I love supporting a thriving mom and pop shop but I love doing so with food I love. I would recommend this to any people in the area or new people traveling. The burger looks way small (it is!) but you quickly find yourself full after you eat the fries and drink your drink (I also had a milkshake and completely stuffed myself). Keep on keepin' on JJ.
