Had dinner there last night to celebrate my friend's birthday. Food was fabulous, some of the best lobster I have ever had. And those mashed potatoes, make you write home to your momma. Drinks were good too!. Our server Bobby was the best, very personable and friendly. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Let’s start off with how amazing the service was. Husband and I were on our way back from a busy day and decided to stop in at 730 on a friday. We planned to just sit at the bar since we were underdressed and there was no room . Immediately the host helped look around the bar and told us he would find us a table. Then when we sat down we had Bobby as our waiter and he was awesome ! Super friendly , knowledgeable about the menu, and stayed attentive our entire time there . We both got the lobster bisque which was amazing ! Great broth and a few good sized chunks of lobster. We both split the seadfood pasta and that was great as well ! We dined in for our first time. Make reservations as they are always busy especially on a Friday evening. Bobby was our server and was delightfully entertaining and attentive to our table service. Our food was cooked perfectly. Around the table we ordered the crab claws and calamari appetizers, twin lobster tails, New York strip steak and the blackened walleye. Deliciously perfect all around. We had a very poor experience. We especially decided to go on Sunday to enjoy their Sunday Happy Hour as we had done in the past but was told that was not available in the main dining room, only at the bar but reservations were not offered for those tables, only on first come bases. Next we ordered wines - one person in our party ordered the 6 oz and mine was for 9 oz but the level of wine in the glass looked almost identical so I complained. Server referred my complaint to the manager, who offered to bring out a measuring cup and sure enough, it was short by over an ounce. From past experiences with upscale restaurants, when a customer complains about a short pour, the server was more than happy to correct the situation but to involve a manger, who then shows up with a measuring cup - give me a break!! Next, the server failed to enter our raw oysters and our salads were served. After finishing the salad, I asked and she admitted her error and would put the order in but at this time, we told her never mind, cancel it. After receiving our tabs, we placed our credit cards but needed to get some change (we always leave cash tips instead of adding to the credit card - that way, the servers don't share the tip with the establishment. After waiting about 10 minutes, I finally asked another server to ask for our server. It turns out she was unavailable. I will admit, the food was wonderful but I thought the wine prices were very pricey. Overall, it was not a very good night out for upscale dining. We will probably never go back. Very warm cozy upscale atmosphere. Soft music played at conversion level. The staff were unusually friendly and polite. Even the other diners were friendly and engaged in casual conversation. The food was Instagram worthy and tasted delicious. We ordered surf and turf and king crab legs. Everything was cooked to perfection.
