If you prefer Japanese cuisine, then this restaurant is worth visiting. Eating good nigiri, rolls and miso soup is a nice experience here. Degust delicious bubble tea. Food was so so and the service is not good. The lady infront was very rude when I asked to clarify the tip on the bill as we don't have tip culture in Australia, I don't think they deserve to receive the tip but that's ok, I just simply don't come back and not recommend to my friends. I can not eat big meal so I ordered regular meal and We've been told that we can not share food. I think because my mom and my sister are having "all you can eat hotpot" and I have sushi, but the staff could have talk to us in the nice way instead of saying " you cannot share food". My husband and I went today for lunch, we both had the all you can eat sushi. My husband ordered 3 rolls to start, 2 of which he wasn't a big fan of, so it kinda ruined his appetite. When the waiter came to ask if we wanted anything else I said that he wasn't a fan of the 2 rolls so we were going to just pay a d go. (Mind you this was our first plate for both of us) The lunch was 16.99/person, the waiter then tells me that because he didn't eat 2 of the rolls its going to be an ADDITIONAL $10!! If we had been wasting food or over ordering and then throwing out I'd get it, but that wasn't the case. The manager came over and acted like she was going to do me a favor and only charge us half. These people are outta their minds. Won't be back and will definitely voice my experience to anyone who considers them. We usually go to the Brooklyn location and always have a great experience there. In the Eastlake area and was excited to see another Kintaro. We were sorely disappointed with all of the hot pot options we ordered and some of the sushi we ordered. The food quality was substantially lower than the one in Brooklyn. We got the all-you-can-eat sushi option and loved it! There was a wide variety of sushi, including specialty rolls, nigiri, and sashimi. I especially loved the Dodge roll. We also got the cheese rangoons appetizer and loved it. The interior of the restaurant is nice and clean and has a good atmosphere. Would recommend!
