Really enjoyed sitting down and relaxing at Kobe. The service was great! I had surf and turf for my hibachi dinner and I must say that the meat was cooked to perfection. Loved the sushi too! It was a wonderful date night! The Nutty Avocado is a must-try! Adding wasabi makes it even better. Loved trying something different. One of the biggest rolls I've ever had at a sushi restaurant. Glad I started off only ordering one my first time in. Friendly staff, pricing is exactly as you would expect for quality sushi, and its busy so I wasn't surprised the fish was very fresh. Highl recommend. I had chicken, which wasn't dry and had the most crispy, delightful crust. The portions were generous. The beef and Brussel sprouts were wonderful (I tasted my companion's!) The food at Kobe is decidedly okay. It's definitely not special or worth the price. Then again, hardly anywhere is worth the price and good anymore... The service was pretty good, friendly and polite enough. The server wasn't exactly charming or helpful, but he also ensured we had what we needed and didn't leave us wondering where he was. Unfortunately where things fall apart for me is the intense racket of the hibachi. It is basically intolerable if you aren't there specifically for the hibachi. If you're into it, that's great, I hope you enjoy it, but if I'm going out for dinner loud meta on metal sounds, yelling, and hours of flame aren't the vibe I'm looking for. Overall Kobe is okay, but there are many much better options all over the place, including in the very same strip mall. What an amazing experience their hibachi was. Awesome food, a comfortable place to eat it, and depending on who your chef is, you could be impressed in a number of different ways, from jokes, animal noises, flying food, utensil tricks, and a plethora of other intriguing favorites. One thing for sure is that you will enjoy the show and will leave full. I have never been served so much food in a restaurant. Side note: be up front about allergies and they can accomodate. Good location for some quick sushi, the food was okay, I ordered the King Kong sushi, this was good. I also got the Rib - Eye Steak & Shrimp with rice and vegetables, for the price this was great! I ordered medium rare and they delivered, only issue was the steak no seasoning, the sauce was top notch but the steak needs to be seasoned for my personal taste. Whenever my parents come to visit or when I go visit them we always order take out sushi. It's become quite a tradition for us. I was really disappointed when the place we used to order from closed. We had tried a couple other places but it was quite mediocre. Kobe however was quite good. We ordered quite a few rolls to get a little taste of everything and were not disappointed. The flavors were delicious and the size of the rolls were quite large. I felt like we got out money's worth. Though we did not eat at the restaurant, it looked quite nice with ample parking. I look forward to sitting down and enjoying a meal there some time in the future. The only negative is that I felt the rolls were quite similar in texture, the previous place we ordered from had different styles and texture components to their sushi.
