We went the last two Fridays, the first time I had the Tamales Chilango an my husband had one of the combination plates, food was delicious, some best Tamales I've had an my husband said everything on his plate was delicious as well. The service was great. The second time my husband had the Fried Mojarra with shrimp, our friend had the Chile Colorado an I had the Lunch Special #20 an 2 Asada Tacos. The tacos were delicious the meat was juicy an tender with good flavor. The burrito in my special was supposed to be chicken, I got it an it was ground beef, It was ok, kinda salty. I told the waitress it was supposed to be be chicken,she said no but then went an looked at the menu an came back an apologized. She then went into the kitchen came back out an asked if I wanted to send it back an get the right one but by then the guys were already well into their meals an I didn't want to wait an then have them sitting there waiting on me. Overall it's a pretty great place an I'll definitely be back, just hope getting the wrong order was a one time deal. I'm motivated to write a review because I was SO impressed with the service on this trip. I tried to call in an order, but the phones were not working, so had to order through door dash. When I got there I asked if one of my items had any cheese because my wife is lactose intolerant. They said there was no cheese on the order, but they remade the order (with no prompting from me) because cheese on the refried beans might be a problem. Turned out that someone had left the phone off the hook, and they were so happy when I pointed that out to them. This was, by far, the most taken care of I have ever felt when picking up a take out order. They had the redone, no cheese, order done in minutes. This place has the most amazing atmosphere of any Mexican restaurant that I have been to. The waiter was amazing. I just wish the food measured up. We decided to share the Texas Fajita Nachos. This is a dish we have shared many times at various restaurants. We were excited as it came with beef, chicken, and shrimp. Unfortunately, it appeared that they poured the queso over the chips prior to adding the Fajita mixture. This meant most of the queso settled on the bottom of the plate. I have had better ones. We started out with a small house, Margarita and a Jalepeno Margarita. The presentation was amazing. The Jalepeno Margarita was served in a large martini glass filled to the brim with ice. I drank it down in three swallows. Impressed with the small house Margarita. I ordered the Texana Margarita medium. Way more gratifying. Overall, this place is all show but needs more substance. Ordered the House Special with chicken steak shrimp and veggies. Looks are definitely much better than the food. Chicken was dry with zero flavor, steak was dry and crispy with no flavor. Asked for some kind of sauce, came back with nothing and said they don't have anything for it and walked away. Came back about 10 minutes later and asked for something else as this was $25 for terrible food. Said that's the chicken they have and again walked off. Will NEVER eat at this place again. 10/10 would recommend! The cheese dip is fresh and delicious, the salsa is mild enough that everyone can eat it. It has a fire roasted taste. The chips are crispy and thin. They are not greasy or stale. The ground beef has a great flavor. The burrito California is delicious with grilled onions and grilled mushrooms with chicken. The service was fast and very nice. I like to do a quick review on this. I was in the mood for Mexican food. The place got a big upgraded since the last time I went there. It was very nice and modern look to it. It was very cozy and clean. I order so burrito and a drink and it was fantastic! It hit the spot. The staffs was welcoming also. They completely remodeled this place. It now has an awesome atmosphere. My wife got some purple drink that was huge and she enjoyed it. I ordered the Pollo de Pina. It was delicious, although it only came with 4 shrimp. I didn't care for the salsa but the chips and bean dip was good. We will return. The food and drinks were AMAZING! Loved the Fish Bowl drink (gorgeous to look at and delicious to drink, it was even served with an edible flower). Salsa and queso were great and so were our fajitas. I’ll be back again soon. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $10–20
