My review is long overdue! I've eaten here many times, and have never had a bad meal. Delicious soups, steaks, etc. My dad and I often eat here after long hikes in the area. There is nothing better than a cold beer and a delicious hot meal after hiking the beautiful mountains in the area. Bar and table seating are plentiful, and they will always have the Bills game on! Last time we stopped by the owner was at the bar and chatted with us for a while, very down to earth guy running an excellent business. What fun. The staff is incredibly happy and attentive. The food was delicious and served quickly to the table. We found this lovely diner several years ago, and we always visit when we are in Long Lake. Met many locals while we were dining, which is always a good sign that it's not just me who likes the place. It's a gotta go when you're in Long Lake, NY. Great place with perfect mix of locals and visitors. Been going there for many years. If any of you remember Evie, the no-nonsense waitress, we have started a memorial to her in the pub room. We were a party of 7 out for a late season motorcycle ride. I can't say enough about how pleasant an experience we had. I wish I could remember our servers name. She was an absolute gem. To start it was a matter of moments and she had 2 tables put together to seat our group. She as pleasant, personable, and right on the money in every way. All seven of our meals hit the table at the same time and every one of them was done to a turn. Tip of my hat to the kitchen staff! Every one of us was very happy. My coffee cup was never empty and my hot roast beef sandwich and fries were delicious. We had excellent service and excellent meals. And very reasonably priced.
