We were greeted in a timely manner and seated near the fire. Our server was attentive and ordered the courses so they came out at precisely the right time. My meal was delicious. Tried their “Early Bird Dinner”. It was worth it. The steak and crab were good.(two separate dishes). I also had the smoked beets, and they were delicious. I wish the cod that I ordered would have been better. I had high hopes that it would have been melt-in-your-mouth fresh fish, but it must have been the frozen kind, which was very disappointing. This was my third time ordering fish at a restaurant while visiting West Coast. The East Coast definitely has the West Coast beat when it comes to serving freshly caught fish. On the plus side, we had a nice server, and the restaurant itself was quite lovely. I am glad that my son very much enjoyed his burger, which he said was like eating a thick and juicy steak. Firstly, I hope you have all the time in the world to eat because this place is UNGODLY slow. It took us 1hr and 10min to get our food after ordering and the place was dead, literally 2 other tables. Btw this was breakfast, the easiest meal to make. I don't care how good the food is, I've never waited over an hour for food. Kitchen staff- learn what food prep is, you clearly have no clue what you are doing. Food was mid at best. It's absolutely not worth the price. Do yourself a favor and just head up to the oak table Cafe if you want an incredible brunch for the same price. Owner/management, please feel free to reach out, I'd love to explain in more detail why your restraunt is empty on a Sunday brunch. You have a multitude of things that need to be corrected. My waitress was stellar and friendly. I got the early dinner special and the crab was delicious. The beets were to die for and the flourless chocolate tort was so decadent and rich it was worth the calories. My third visit here. Quality food for an expected price, most dishes averaging between 16-30$. Lots of parking and good location. Restaurant has great ambience, and server was fun and well mannered . The cocktail I ordered (Kentucky Spiced Mule) was good, I would of liked a little extra spice to it. My fiancee is a picky mac and cheese enjoyer, so when he says he likes the mac, it's a bit of an achievement. As for me, I ordered the coffee rubbed flat iron steak, medium rare. They were definitely generous with the chimichurri (not a bad thing for me personally.), and the steak itself had good taste. Went for brunch on the weekend. My father had the Maynard's Breakfast while I had the biscuits and gravy. The Maynard's Breakfast is a hearty style farmhouse breakfast. My father raved about the ham, really good flavor. I loved the sausage gravy, big chunks of ground sausage and the homemade biscuits were amazing. The dining area and experience made me keep looking around for the attached hotel, which of course, there is none.
