My wife and I ate here for the first time tonight on our way back home after being out and about today for President's Day. We didn't have a reservation, but were able to be seated right away out on the patio where they had plenty of propane heaters to keep all customers warm. The temperature was perfect. We had excellent service from the moment we were greeted through paying the bill. We ordered frozen margaritas while we waited for our food. I got the spicy and my wife got the swirl. They were both outstanding. The fresh bread they brought was light and delicious. Considering the number of people in the restaurant, our meals came out very quickly. We both got the shrimp and scallops dinner, which comes with sliced potatoes and broccoli and is covered in an outstanding lightly creamy white wine sauce. The taste of all was outstanding and different from anything we've ever had. We'd always heard nothing but good things about McAdoo's and now we see why. I been wanting to eat here for a while. Parking isn’t the best, but the food is decent and the atmosphere was great. Our waitress was amazing. Can’t wait to go back and try brunch. Food was delicious! Hubs had the shrimp and grits. His shrimp was slightly overcooked. I ordered the same dish, except I asked if they could add the parmesan crusted chicken instead of the shrimp. The chicken was fantastic! The grits were out of this world! They were so creamy I almost thought they were mashed potatoes. Incredibly flavorful! We ordered a side of red beans and rice to share. We had a great experience here. Food came out as expected for a nicer restaurant. The seafood fondue 🫕 was worth it alone; it's the best thing to hit your tastebuds!!!! It's worth dining here. Overall, it was a great experience, and we will return to try other dishes. If it's your thing, the atmosphere was excellent, we sat outside and it was beautiful. Covered but also full of plant life. This place was amazing, it is a old turn of the century post office that has been restored, preserved and converted into a restaurant. Me and my wife wanted a nice evening together since I’ve been out of town for work for the past few months. Let me tell you this place did not disappoint. The food absolutely blew our mind. Our server absolutely delightful, attentive, and knowledgeable about the building, the food, and up-and-coming events. This was recommended by my wife's coworker. We are extremely grateful she recommended it. A charming restaurant with wonderful decor. All of the wait staff were friendly and very knowledgeable. They really put you at ease and they didn't bother you too much while you were eating your meal. As far as the food goes, I was left completely shocked! We had ordered the crab cakes and the seafood fondue and everything was absolutely delicious. The seafood tasted so fresh and flavorful. The lemon butter sauce on the crab cakes made every bite burst with a zing of flavor. I can tell you with complete honesty, there was not a spec of food left on the plates. Now the price is a bit high but in this case, you definitely get your money's worth. Watch your step when you walk in through the front entrance as the steps are close together. NB has always been my go to for great food, Garret was not only attentive, respectful, and was such a great waiter. Fernanda also helped out and was equally pleasant and a delight to have waiting our table as well. Food was outstanding and everything about this night was perfect. Very nice modern restaurant. I had the salmon with rice and broccoli, which taste good but was disappointed it had bones in it. Also little had things that may had been uncooked or overcooked hard rice that I could not bite into it. So sadly I had to keep taking out of my mouth. It is very noisy so hard to talk. The steak was excellent and tender. The salad and soup was great too. Salad does not come with , so everything is à la carte. Loved how clean the restaurant was and servers was terrific.
