We came for Valentine's Day. I got a glass of Dolce Sangria, which was delicious. Our waiter bought us our bread. It tasted stale. He said it was sour dough bread. I've had sour dough bread & it didn't taste stale. Our appetizers were Shrimp Kisses & a bowl of Lobster Bisque. They were delicious. We shared a Walnut Mixed Green Salad with Feta cheese. It was good too. Our main meal was Classic Shrimp Scampi. I've had better tasting Shrimp Scampi. The flavor was off. My husband had Fall Sea Scallops. He said it was okay, but could have been better. We went out for my wife’s birthday dinner and didn’t expect to wait for an hour and 30 minutes for the food. Other tables around us ate and left by the time we got our food, and they were much bigger parties, like 5 or 6. Another server kindly gave us two loaves of bread and said it shouldn’t be much longer. However, it ended up taking even longer. Meanwhile, our server wasn’t in sight for most of our experience that night. We still gave him a proper tip, but I thought the other server did a better job and probably should have shared the tip with him. Having worked in the food industry, I suspect our order was forgotten about before it was placed in the kitchen. The appetizers were awesome and came out within 10 minutes; I loved the clam chowder. However, the dinner was just okay. The fish and chips were very tiny—one bite each—and they were gone. The fries were overloaded to make up for the lack of fish on the plate, but they were really good—seasoned and flavorful. Overall, the chef did a great job, but the floor service was just okay. Last minute dinner... My friends and I thoroughly enjoyed the food and atmosphere. I had the bone-in rib eye, mashed potatoes and asparagus. My friend had the bbq glazed pork chops. And my other friend had the dry rubbed angus steak. Not one of us had a complaint. The waiter was very knowledgeable and friendly. Definitely recommend. This was a nice restaurant. We sat in a quiet area. The server was attentive. We were disappointed in the food. I ordered a steak and when it came out, it was burnt on the outside and undercooked on the inside. Even after sending it back to cook a little more, it was not good. My boyfriend ordered the scallops and they lacked flavor. The complimentary bread was hard and tasteless. Our plates and silverware settings stuck to the placemat which was odd. A manager never once came out to check in on us, even when my steak was not cooked correctly and the restaurant only had a few tables seated. The food is not worth it here for the price that you pay.
