McFarlain's Family Restaurant is a staple here in Branson. The year of 2023 celebrates 30 years of wonderful service (FAMILY FRIENDLY RESTAURANT) It was a must to stop into today . Today's meal consisted of:. Skillet Meal. 🍳 Eggs Benedict, 🥚 Deep Fried Catfish Fillet 🐟 Legendary Breakfast. Egg🥚 Bacon🥓 Biscuit 🍪 Hot coffee ☕ Soda 🥤 Boy was it good. The service was great and the special table was an added comical hit. The place takes you back a bit to how Branson got started. I have always liked it here. Wonderful gift 🎁 shops on site and an IMAX movie 🎥 screen is right near door There is even a few videogames for the kids to enjoy. Clean restrooms with handicap accessibility. First off, our server, Lindsay, was a joy! She answered all of our questions and was so personable. She really made us feel welcomed.Our appetizer was fried green tomatoes and we ordered the fried chicken and the meatloaf. No disappointments. The portions were large enough to take some with you for tomorrow's lunch! The chicken was so juicy and the meatloaf was actually meat, not filler. I wish I had that honey cornbread recipe... I’m genuinely confused by the 5 star reviews. We waited close to an hour for our food, our waitress would barely acknowledge us and take 20+ min to stop by each time, and the food was mediocre at best (out of the 5 of us, only 1 person liked the food). Nothing tasted fresh at all. For the prices (close to $20 per meal), I’d rate it a 4 out of 10. This was our first dining experience in Branson, unfortunately. Wonderful atmosphere, gift shops and game room also conveniently located inside the same building, so you have something to do if you have to wait for a table. Menu has a good selection and the food is great! Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5

Good home style menu. We had the pot roast and mashed potatoes. Once can’t really go wrong with that! They also serve a great fried chicken plate as well. The menu seems limited at first glance, but once you understand it, it just feels right. This place is known for getting bus loads of people, but service is almost always fast and great. We came in right behind a fresh bus load of people. Even with that, we were greeted quickly and seated. In less than an hour we had ordered, ate really good food and were ready to continue on our adventures. McFarlain's is a local restaurant that should be a must on your list. The restaurant from the outside is nicely themed to the area. The service was phenomenal as the waitress didn't miss a beat. They start you with the Honey Cornbread, which is amazing. We had the fried chicken and pot roast. Unfortunately we were so hungry and it looked and tasted so good we forgot to take a photo. The food tasted just like mom would cook. It was tender, hot, and cooked to perfection. We were full but couldn't pass up the fresh baked pies and cobblers that make fresh daily. We had the peach cobbler made with fresh, not canned, peaches as well as the chocolate cream pie. Both were fantastic. I can't say enough positive things about our visit today. Not one negative thing to say. Highly recommend that if you're in Branson, you make McFarlain's one of your dining choices. We arrived here thirty minutes before closing, cutting it close, but hostess and waitress were nice as could be and promptly sat us down. We found what we wanted on the menu and before you knew it we were being served. I got a cheeseburger with sweet potato fries while the wife ordered a BLT which she said was one of the best she has ever had. Our friend ordered fried chicken, a portion he had to bring some home, while his wife ordered a BLY as well. We ordered, ate, and was out the door by 8:05. This is a nice restaurant. I had the meatloaf, coleslaw, and green beans, which was good. The fried green tomatoes were great. They also served a honey cornbread, which was good. Our waitress Adriana was great. The atmosphere is really comfortable and the rest of the staff was very friendly. It is located inside the McFarlain's entertainment center with Imax theater and shops all indoors. Nice place to visit. Didn't look like my kind of place, but the dish I had was delicious. And for those wondering the entrance is inside the main building which is entered under the awning.also, the cornbread is surprisingly good (sweet). I had the Bacon Cheese Fries. Fries, Bacon, Cheese and some kind of Alfredo sauce. Awesome with ranch. My brother-in-law had the Papas Nachos and loved it as well. My wife had the deep fried fish, and although she liked it, the rest of us did not. (Very fishy) Service was excellent. Drinks stayed filled, and the server was polite. We enjoyed the fried chicken but other dishes are mediocre. The rhubarb pie, however, was fantastic! Highly recommend to pack one with you. The waitress was very attentive and hilarious with her sense of humor. The restaurant has a ten percent off coupon available in local guidebooks. After the discount the meal was quite reasonable in this touristy town.
